  • Patent number: 11376504
Abstract: A method of changing a virtual world of a computer-implemented game based on real-world locations of players of the computer-implemented game is disclosed. A presence of a player of the computer-implemented game is detected at a physical location. A presence of an additional player of the computer-implemented game is detected at the physical location based on a communication received from the player of the computer-implemented game. An aspect of the virtual world of the computer-implemented game is changed based on the detecting of the presence of the player at the physical location and the detecting of the presence of the additional player of the computer-implemented game at the physical location.

  • Patent number: 11295503
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to creating interactive avatars that can be pinned as world-locked artificial reality content. Once pinned, an avatar can interact with the environment according to contextual queues and rules, without active control by the avatar owner. An interactive avatar system can configure the avatar with action rules, visual elements, and settings based on user selections. Once an avatar is configured and pinned to a location by an avatar owner, when other XR devices are at that location, a central system can provide the avatar (with its configurations) to the other XR device. This allows a user of that other XR device to discover and interact with the avatar according to the configurations established by the avatar owner.

  • Publication number: 20210285638
Abstract: A viewport for a combustion zone includes an inner casing having a flange extending into the combustion zone. A first layer of ceramic fiber insulation is exterior to the inner casing. A middle casing includes two panes of quartz glass separated by traverse plates. A second layer of ceramic fiber insulation is exterior to the middle casing. An outer casing is positioned to the exterior of the second layer of insulation. The middle casing includes L-shaped ledges having third and fourth layers of ceramic insulation. The panes of glass are each positioned between layers of insulation and the insulation positioned in the L-shaped ledges. The viewport is modular enabling the separation of the first layer of insulation, the middle casing, the second layer of insulation and the outer casing from the combustion zone for maintenance or repair. The viewport minimizes heat migration to the outer casing during use.

  • Patent number: 11120505
Abstract: A system processes a set of images to verify whether the images depict a type of property damage, such as hail damage from a hail storm. The system receives digital images of a roof or other facet of the property that were taken by an image capturing device after the storm event. The system also receives storm data relating to the storm event and claim data related to a property damage claim. The system uses the claim data to process the digital images to automatically identify damage to the roof or other facet. The system then analyzes the storm data to determine whether the damage is consistent with an actual, naturally-occurring storm event, and it generates a report depicting its findings.

  • Patent number: 11055786
Abstract: A system segments a set of images of a property to identify a type of damage to the property. The system receives, from an image capturing device, a digital image of a roof or other feature of the property. The system processes the image to identify a set of segments, in which each segment corresponds to a piece of the feature, such as a tab or tooth of a shingle on the roof. The system saves a result of the processing to a data file as a segmented image of the property, and it uses the segmented image to identify a type of damage to the property.
