  • Patent number: 6431880
Abstract: A power distribution block assembly includes an insulative body having at least a first modular body section and a second modular body section, and at least one electrically conductive bus member having a longitudinally-extending base and a plurality of terminal blades extending from the base. The base of the bus member has a site for electrical connection to a power source and a longitudinally elongated U-shape channel defined by opposite legs. A plurality of terminal blades extend from the legs of the channel and include a plurality of sites for electrical connection to a plurality of removable circuit elements. A plurality of separate connector elements are contained within the body, and each of the connector elements are configured to engage a terminal blade of the bus with a terminal of a respective one of the removable circuit elements.

  • Publication number: 20010050608
Abstract: A fuse for providing a connection between a multiple-source power supply having a plurality of cells and a power receiving device, includes a plurality of separate terminal leads, a common connector region, and a plurality of fuse links fabricated from a first conductive material and interconnecting a respective one of the terminal leads to the common connector region. At least a portion of at least one of the fuse links includes an overlay of a second conductive material that is different from the first conductive material from which the fuse link is fabricated. The second conductive material of the overlay has a lower melting temperature than does the first conductive material of the fuse link to lower the operating temperature of the fuse link.

  • Patent number: 6227913
Abstract: A power distribution block assembly that includes an insulative body, at least one common electrically-conductive power bus member, a plurality of connector elements, and a sealed cover is disclosed. A U-shaped bus member includes a pluarlity of terminal blades extending therefrom, and plurality of separate connector elements connect the terminal blades to input side terminals of removable circuit elements, such as fuse elements or circuit breakers. Load side terminals of the fuse elements are received in load side connectors housed in passages in the body.
