  • Publication number: 20240112228
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for generating efficient iterative electronic recommendation structures. In various aspects, one or more processors aggregate a plurality of ratings vectors, where each ratings vector is associated with a vector type and contains one or more content ranking metrics associated with one or more users. The one or more processors generate similarity pairing values from the plurality of ratings vectors, where each similarity pairing value is based on a similarity mapping between a first ratings vector and a second ratings vector. The one or more processors further generate an electronic recommendation structure based on the similarity pairing values, where the electronic recommendation structure includes a bi-directional look-up interface that is configured to return a bi-directional recommendation value after receiving a lookup request for either the vector type of the first ratings vector or the vector type of the second ratings vector.

  • Patent number: 11504788
Abstract: A welding or additive manufacturing system includes a power supply having a controller which controls operation of the power supply. The power supply provides a current waveform to a contact tip assembly having a first bore terminating at a first exit orifice and a second bore terminating at a second exit orifice. The first exit orifice is configured to deliver a first wire electrode and said second exit orifice is configured to deliver a second wire electrode. The exit orifices are separated from each other by a distance configured to facilitate formation of a bridge droplet between the wire electrodes while preventing solid portions of the first wire electrode delivered through the first bore from contacting solid portions of the second wire electrode delivered through the second bore, during a deposition operation in which the current waveform is conducted to both of the wire electrodes simultaneously through the contact tip assembly.

  • Publication number: 20220193807
Abstract: An arc welding or additive manufacturing system includes a wire feeder, a torch, a wire electrode driven through the torch by the wire feeder, and an arc generation power supply operatively connected to the torch to deliver a pulse waveform to the wire electrode during a deposition operation. The pulse waveform includes a series of current pulses and interleaved background current portions such that each current pulse is separated from a prior current pulse by a prior background current portion and separated from a subsequent current pulse by a subsequent background current portion. During each current pulse a molten droplet is projected from a tip of the wire electrode followed by an axial spray of molten metal away from the tip of the wire electrode before the subsequent background current portion occurs.

  • Patent number: 11267066
Abstract: A method of determining weld quality includes the step of providing a reference weld signature having a first shape. A weld signature of a welding parameter is captured, wherein the weld signature of the welding parameter has a second shape. The first shape is automatically compared to the second shape and a weld signature shape difference between the first shape and the second shape is determined. A weld fault condition is determined based on the weld signature shape difference.

  • Patent number: 9658988
Abstract: A method for segmenting text for layout on a web browser includes receiving a block of text at a client computer and defining a plurality of regular expressions, where a first regular expression in the plurality of regular expressions is used to search for a word or a word boundary. The client computer segments the block of text into a plurality of text segments, where the segmenting includes searching the block of text starting at a defined location for a first text segment that matches any of the plurality of regular expressions, adding the first text segment to the plurality of text segments, and updating the defined location to be located at the end of the first text segment within the block of text. The client computer then constructs a layout of the block of text using the plurality of text segments.
