  • Patent number: 10955373
Abstract: A technique for monitoring the quality of objects is disclosed. A container includes a multiple sensors and is configured to receive an object. The sensors monitor various metrics associated with the quality of the object, and a display is affixed to the container for displaying a visual indication of the quality of the object. The visual indication is based on data collected from the sensors. A quality monitoring module is executed by a processor to control the sensors to switch operation between a first mode of operation and a second mode of operation based on a detected change in one of the metrics monitored by the sensors.

  • Publication number: 20210077923
Abstract: A sand handling system having, for example, one to three sand separators are configured to be operatively connected to a well and an inlet of a common dumping vessel. Advantageously, the dumping vessel has a sensor to measure an amount of sand in the dumping vessel and provide a signal to a programmable controller which is arranged to dump the dumping vessel when a specified amount of sand is in the dumping vessel. The system automates the sand handling process and also measures and records data associated with a number of flowback parameters. The data can then be used in well design to improve oil and/or gas production, lessen sand production, reduce well damage and/or equipment corrosion due to, for example, sand.

  • Patent number: 10911437
Abstract: Computerized systems and methods facilitate detection of anomalous activity during the authentication of login attempts. When a login attempt is made, credentials (e.g., a username and password) are provided. A function call is made to check for anomalous activity. A count of unique usernames attempted during a given time period is compared against a unique username threshold. In some embodiments, a count of login attempts for the current username is also compared against a login attempt threshold. If either (or both) threshold is met or exceeded, an abnormal state is returned, and one or more enhanced authentication requirements are invoked. Alternatively, a normal state is returned, and the credentials are validated. If the login attempt is successful, the username is removed from consideration for anomalous activities checks for other login attempts.

  • Patent number: 10911573
Abstract: Techniques for web-based collaborative inking sessions via a computer network are described in this document. In one embodiment, a first computer can serialize detected pointer input at a first computer into data representing one or more ink objects individually representing an image or animation corresponding to the detected pointer input. The first computer can then transmit the data representing the serialized ink objects to the second computer via the computer network. Upon receiving the transmitted data, the second computer can de-serialize the received serialized ink objects, reconstruct the image or animation corresponding to the detected pointer input at the first computer, and surface, to a second user, the image or animation of the detected pointer input on a second web browser surfacing the same webpage on the second computer, thereby enabling a web-based collaboration session between the first and second users.

  • Publication number: 20210006119
Abstract: An electric motor built for exposure to high pressure fluid includes a unitary metal sleeve that provides a fluid barrier between the rotor and the stator. An overmolded resin encapsulates the stator windings and reinforces the sleeve to minimize deformation of the sleeve under high fluid pressures. The overmolded resin also fixes the positions of insulation displacement connectors connected to the stator windings, thereby avoiding mechanical brackets and fasteners for holding the insulation displacement connectors in position.

  • Publication number: 20200404749
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a heating pad that conforms to body parts of a user. The conforming heating pad can be worn to provide heat relief on different parts of a user's body. In an embodiment, a conforming heating pad includes a first layer on a posterior side of the heating pad, a second layer, a third layer, and a fourth layer on an anterior side of the heating pad. A continuous heating element is distributed throughout the second layer. The continuous heating element is capable of being selectively heated to increase the temperature of the heating pad. The third layer has a plurality of cavities formed in it. Each cavity holds a plurality of beads. When the heating pad is applied to a body portion of a user, the weight of the beads applies a force against the conductive heating element, the second layer, and the first layer to thereby conform them to the body portion of the user.
