Abstract: A hair clipper includes a housing and a blade assembly coupled to the housing. The blade assembly is coupled to the housing at a cutting end and is movable between an operating position and an open position. The clipper also includes a release assembly including a release mechanism. The release assembly is switchable between a hold state and a release state. In the hold state, the release assembly holds the blade assembly in the operating position. In the release state, upon application of a force on the release mechanism, the release assembly releases the blade assembly to permit the blade assembly to move to the open position in the absence of an additional force.

Abstract: A hair trimmer having an ion emitter assembly that emits ions for use in hair care processes. The hair trimmer includes a body portion having a cutting end, the body portion defining a cavity and an opening communicating with the cavity wherein the opening is separate from the cutting end. The hair trimmer includes a blade set mounted adjacent the cutting end, and a comb coupled to the cutting end of the body portion wherein the blade set is at least partially disposed within the comb. The ion emitter assembly is at least partially mounted within the cavity, wherein ions emitted from the ion emitter assembly flow through the opening and toward the cutting end and the comb.
