  • Patent number: 10771392
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method include a rate-limiting server. The server receives a request from a client and uses an early stage process to search for a rate-limiting token bucket (TB) using metadata associated with the request. Responsive to finding the TB using the first metadata, a response operation is performed. Responsive to not finding the TB using the first metadata, a late stage process is used to search for the rate-limiting TB using server-side session data associated with the request. Responsive to not finding the TB using the session data, the TB is created and associated with at least two search indexes comprising the first metadata associated with the request and the session data. Finally, the response operation is performed that comprises transmitting a determined response to the client.

  • Patent number: 10638356
Abstract: A 5G network communicates per-slice constraints for QoS parameter values from a centralized unit (CU) to a MAC scheduler of a distributed unit (DU). The CU communicates these per-slice constraints, rather than or in addition to per-DRB constraints, to the MAC scheduler over the CU/DU interface. In some implementations, the CU/DU interface is an F1 air interface as defined in specification 38.473 in the 3GPP standard. In some implementations, the DU provides per-slice performance feedback over the CU/DU interface. Based on such feedback, the CU may adjust the per-slice QoS constraints.

  • Publication number: 20190391861
Abstract: Systems and methods for presenting collaboration activity to a particular user are disclosed. A method embodiment commences by recording event records that codify one or more event attributes corresponding to one or more content object access events. The content object access events are associated with two or more users that interact with the content objects. At a later moment in time, a subset of event records is selected, the selection being based at least in part on timestamps of the content object access events. A display order to apply to the selected subset of event records is determined, the order being based at least in part on timestamps of collaboration events arising from the users. Event messages to present in a user interface are generated, and the event messages are then displayed in the user interface in accordance with the display order.

  • Publication number: 20190325009
Abstract: A multi-user collaboration system. User-specific change markings are applied to a collaboration object. The user-specific changes to be presented are time-oriented, based on a time of a last view of the collaboration object. A plurality of users that have access to the collaboration object are identified. Time-ordered versions of the collaboration object are captured. Each captured version corresponds to changes made to the collaboration object by any of the users. When a request to view the collaboration object is received from a subject user, a method determines the latest version of the collaboration object and also determines the specific last accessed version of the collaboration object that was seen by the subject user. The two versions are compared, and the comparison changes are used to generate user-specific change markings. The collaboration object with the generated user-specific change markings is presented by rendering the user-specific change markings on respective user-specific devices.

  • Patent number: 10368080
Abstract: Approaches to delivering video in a chroma sampling format with a higher chroma sampling rate (such as a YUV 4:4:4 format) using a video encoder and decoder that operate on video in another chroma sampling format with a lower chroma sampling rate (such as YUV 4:2:0) are described. A video decoder can recover stationary content in video at the higher chroma sampling rate, even when the video is encoded and decoded at the lower chroma sampling rate, without significantly increasing bit rate. In some example implementations, the approaches preserve chroma information from pictures in a higher-resolution chroma sampling format, while leveraging commercially available codecs adapted for a lower-resolution chroma sampling format such as YUV 4:2:0, which is widely supported in products.

  • Patent number: 10229066
Abstract: A data processing apparatus is provided including queue circuitry to respond to control signals each associated with a memory access instruction, and to queue a plurality of requests for data, each associated with a reference to a storage location. Resolution circuitry acquires a request for data, and issues the request for data, the resolution circuitry having a resolution circuitry limit. When a current capacity of the resolution circuitry is below the resolution circuitry limit, the resolution circuitry acquires the request for data by receiving the request for data from the queue circuitry, stores the request for data in association with the storage location, issues the request for data, and causes a result of issuing the request for data to be provided to said storage location.
