Abstract: A method includes providing a first substrate having a first bonding surface. The method includes providing a second substrate having a second bonding surface. The method includes coupling a metal-containing precursor to the first bonding surface and the second bonding surface. The method includes activating the metal-containing precursor on the first bonding surface and the second bonding surface. The method further includes chemically reacting the activated metal-containing precursor on the first bonding surface and the second bonding surface to form an interface between the first substrate and the second substrate.

Abstract: Semiconductor devices and corresponding methods of manufacture are disclosed. The method includes forming a first device structure on a first substrate, a first laser liftoff layer on the first device structure, a protective layer on the first laser liftoff layer, and a second substrate on the protective layer. The method includes de-attaching, through applying radiation on the first laser liftoff layer, the protective layer from the first laser liftoff layer, with a first surface of the second substrate remaining in contact with a second surface of the protective layer. The protective layer is transparent to the radiation.

Abstract: A method for fabricating semiconductor devices is disclosed. The method includes forming, on a first side of a substrate, a first stack and a second stack. The method includes etching, from the first side, a portion of the substrate interposed between the first and second stacks to form a recess. The method includes filling the recess with a dielectric material to form an isolation structure. The method includes forming, on the first side, one or more first interconnect structures over the first and second stacks. The method includes removing, from a second side of the substrate opposite to the first side, a remaining portion of the substrate. The method includes forming a via structure extending through at least the isolation structure. The method includes forming, on the second side, one or more second interconnect structures.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method enables consumers to purchase products or services from merchants using consumer loyalty programs. The method is implemented in a computer system communicating with client devices operated by consumers and merchants. The method features: (a) transmitting a deal to client devices operated by consumers, the deal enabling consumers to purchase a given product or service from one of a set of one or more merchants; (b) receiving from a client device operated by a consumer a deal purchase including consumer payment information for the given product or service; (c) associating the deal purchase with an identifier of a loyalty program account of the consumer in one or more loyalty programs of the set of one or more merchants; and (d) notifying at least one of the set of one or more merchants of the deal purchase such that the consumer can be credited for the deal purchase.

Abstract: In one aspect, a garment for a dog is provided. The garment for a dog may include a pair of speakers comprising a left speaker and a right speaker. The left speaker may be placed in a left side of the garment between the front and rear legs of the dog and the right speaker may be placed in a right side of the garment between the front and rear legs of the dog. An audio source may be connected to the pair of speakers. The garment may include a wireless receiver adapted to receive signals from a remote control. The garment may include a control processor adapted to control the audio source according to the received signals.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and apparatus for providing a coupon at an automated teller machine. In general, a user of the disclosed system performs a financial transaction at an automated teller machine (ATM). In addition, the ATM displays and prints one or more coupons for the user. Preferably, the coupon(s) are selected from a database of coupons based on the geographic location of the ATM (e.g., a nearby restaurant). Preferably, the coupon includes directions to the associated store and/or directions within the associated store. For example, a map with an overlaid route and/or text-based directions from the ATM to the store may be printed on the coupon. In addition to geography, coupon selection may be based on one or more other variables such as the ATM transaction type, the ATM transaction amount, the person's age, the person's sex, the person's previous purchases, etc. Coupon providers may be charged in a variety of different ways.
