Patent number: 11834323Abstract: An input includes a specified fluid product to be transported, a specified volume transfer of the specified fluid product to a berth, and a target flow rate of the specified fluid product. A first allowable operating range for volume transfer and a second allowable operating range for flow rate are determined at least based on: the specified fluid product, an availability of meters for metering, an availability of loading arms for loading the specified fluid product to a ship located at the berth, and an availability of vapor combustion units for flaring. A control signal is transmitted to at least one of multiple valves to establish a flow path for the specified fluid product. A start signal is transmitted to initiate a recipe that controls flow through the flow path within the first allowable operating range and the second allowable operating range.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 2021Date of Patent: December 5, 2023Assignee: Buckeye Partners, L.P.Inventors: Clinton D. Patent number: 11341778Abstract: An adaptive spoofing method includes: causing a first display device to display a spoof representation of a human user; and obtaining multiple images of the spoof representation. The multiple images are captured automatically by an image capture device, each of the multiple images captures a different corresponding configuration of the spoof representation displayed on the first display device. The method also includes: executing a biometric authentication process separately on each of at least a subset of the multiple images; determining that the biometric authentication process authenticates the human user based on at least a first image from the subset; and identifying a configuration of the spoof representation corresponding to the first image as a failure condition associated with the biometric authentication process.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2021Date of Patent: May 24, 2022Assignee: EyeVerify Inc.Inventors: Yash Joshi, Matthew Barrow, Reza R. Derakhshani

Patent number: 11334755Abstract: An image transformation method includes: causing a first display device to display one or more calibration patterns. One or more first images include a corresponding calibration pattern of the one or more calibration patterns. The one or more first images are captured by an image capture device disposed at a non-zero capture angle with respect to the first display device. The method also includes determining based on the one or more first images, a transformation to be applied to account for the non-zero capture angle; obtaining a second image of a human user; applying the transformation to the second image to generate a transformed spoof representation of the human user for capture by the image capture device being held at the non-zero capture angle with respect to the first display device; and causing the first display device to display the transformed spoof representation.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2021Date of Patent: May 17, 2022Assignee: EyeVerify Inc.Inventors: Yash Joshi, Matthew Barrow, Reza R. Patent number: 10452826Abstract: A biometric template created at a user device is divided into portions that are distributed among members of a trusted circle and, optionally, a remote storage service. When the user associated with the biometric template attempts to reauthenticate on a different user device, live identity information is captured and transmitted to trusted circle members. The members confirm the identity of the user and provide the biometric template portions to the different device for reconstruction of the original template. The user can then biometrically reauthenticate using the reconstructed template.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2017Date of Patent: October 22, 2019Assignee: EyeVerify Inc.Inventors: Toby Rush, Riddhiman Das, Reza R. Derakhshani, Matthew Barrow, Casey Hughlett, Greg Storm

Patent number: 7545762Abstract: In a packet-switched network, a subscribing application subscribes to a network presence server to receive selected network presence information. The network presence server obtains the selected network presence information, at least in part, from status messages that a network access server, such as a packet data serving node (PDSN), sends, for example, to an accounting server. The network presence server then provides the selected network presence information to the subscribing application. The selected network presence information may include an identification of a particular customer that has just initiated or terminated a data session and the network address the particular customer is or was using.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2002Date of Patent: June 9, 2009Assignee: Sprint Spectrum L.P.Inventors: Von K. Patent number: 7519690Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of dynamically updating configuration files in a customer premises telecommunications hub. The hub includes a configuration file update module. During initialization, every system module which uses parameters in the configuration file registers with the update module. While the hub is operating, a new configuration file is sent to the IP address of the hub and written into flash memory by the update module. The update module calls a check function in the registered modules which check to see if the new parameters can be changed dynamically. If they can, the update module calls an update function in all registered modules which then change their parameters to those set by the new configuration file. If any module needs a parameter change which cannot be made dynamically, the update module calls for a system reset or reboot.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 2002Date of Patent: April 14, 2009Assignee: Sprint Communications Company L.P.Inventors: Matthew Barrow, Thomas Bayerl, Steven R. Patent number: 6684251Abstract: A communication network comprises a service layer, layer interface, and network layer to dynamically set-up a connection for a session. The service layer receives and processes a service request for a user system to generate and transfer a connection request. The connection request includes a connection identifier to correlate the connection with the session. The service-to-network layer interface receives and processes the connection request to generate and transfer the signaling messages that include the connection identifier. The network layer receives the signaling messages, and in response, dynamically establishes the connection. The connection is comprised of three segments that are established concurrently by the network layer.Type: GrantFiled: May 25, 2000Date of Patent: January 27, 2004Assignee: Sprint Communications Company, L.P.Inventors: Chaoxin Qiu, Timothy G. Kelley, Matthew Barrow, Joseph G. Moore, Benjamin J. Ewy, Shannon Silvus, Murat Bog

Patent number: 5771790Abstract: The present invention relates to perishable food storage systems, and in particular to a system for delaying the ripening process for bananas or the like. The present invention delays the ripening process by decreasing the concentration of ethylene gas in the air adjacent to the bananas. The preferred embodiment of the present invention accomplishes this by using a spreading mechanism to spread the hand of bananas, coupled with a fan or the like to direct air flow through and then away from the hand of bananas, thereby decreasing the ethylene gas concentration of the adjacent air, and thus decreases the ripening rate. The benefit of this method of removing ethylene gas is that it is inexpensive and easy to implement in conjunction with the specially designed rack, which is configured for holding a hand of bananas.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 1995Date of Patent: June 30, 1998Inventor: Matthew Barrows
