  • Publication number: 20260195370
Abstract: Distributed media content history and preferences can be stored and maintained by media playback systems including one or more blockchain-capable playback devices. Content record sets, such as content experience record sets and content network record sets, can be stored via distributed ledgers and updated at least in part based on media consumption events performed or detected by playback devices, service providers, or other participants. Such distributed data can also be accessed to facilitate playback of media content for particular users, devices, households, or environments.

  • Publication number: 20260171079
Abstract: Example systems and methods for recognizing voice command interactions without reliance on a wake word include analyzing an audio data portion of an incoming stream of media content to detect a vocalization within, and, responsive to the detecting, communicating a speech signal, where, in absence of the speech signal, at least one incoming stream of sound signals captured by at least one microphone is evaluated to detect vocalization of one of a set of commands for controlling a playback device.

  • Publication number: 20260081438
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for charging batteries of audio playback devices. An example method performed by a media playback system includes receiving power from a first power source to charge a first power storage of a first playback device according to a first charging scheme, and receiving power from a second power source to charge a second power storage of a second playback device according to a second charging scheme. The system receives an instruction to form a group for synchronous audio playback, and obtains one or more power parameters associated with the first playback device and/or the second playback device. After receiving the instruction to form the group, the system modifies the first charging scheme based on the one or more power parameters, and then receives power from the first power source to charge the first power storage according to the modified first charging scheme.
