  • Publication number: 20240093421
Abstract: A clothes dryer includes a housing, a fan, and a sound blocker. The housing defines an internal cavity and an orifice. The fan is configured to direct air through the internal cavity. The sound blocker is disposed within the cavity and is configured to unwind and wind between a first position and a second position, respectively. In the first position, the sound blocker is unwound and disposed over the orifice to obstruct fluid communication between the internal cavity and an exterior of the housing via the orifice and to reduce noise emitted through the orifice. In the second position the sound blocker is wound and retracted away from the orifice to allow fluid communication between the internal cavity and the exterior of the housing via the orifice.

Abstract: A clothes dryer includes a housing, a fan, and a sound blocker. The housing defines an internal cavity and an orifice. The fan is configured to direct air through the internal cavity. The sound blocker is disposed within the cavity and is configured to linearly slide between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the sound blocker is disposed over the orifice to obstruct fluid communication between the internal cavity and the exterior of the cabinet via the orifice, and to reduce noise emitted through the orifice. In the second position, the sound blocker is retracted away from the orifice to allow fluid communication between the internal cavity and the exterior of the cabinet via the orifice.

  • Patent number: 10499788
Abstract: A dishwasher with reduced motor noise having a frame, a tub coupled to the frame and a sump on the bottom portion of the tub. The dishwasher has a door for providing selective access to the tub and a bracket having a bracket aperture coupled to the frame, an isolator coupled to the bracket and within the bracket aperture, the isolator having an isolator aperture. The dishwasher also has a recirculation pump coupled to the sump, the pump having a housing, a motor within the housing, the motor configured to rotate about an axis, an impeller connected to the motor an inlet in fluid communication with the sump, and an outlet in fluid communication with the tub, wherein the housing has a boss that nests with the isolator aperture.

  • Patent number: 10034596
Abstract: A dishwasher for treating dishes according to an automatic cycle of operation includes a tub with an access opening, at least one dish rack within the treating chamber and accessible through the access opening, a closure element moveable between a closed and opened position to selectively close and open the access opening, and a treating chemistry dispenser. The treating chemistry dispenser includes a housing defining a treating chemistry reservoir with a dispensing opening, a lid slidably mounted to the housing for sliding movement along a travel path between a closed and opened position to selectively open and close the treating chemistry reservoir, and a biasing element operably coupled to the lid and biasing the lid from the closed to the opened position.
