Publication number: 20230215265Abstract: Apparatus and methods for automatically detecting falling fluid include receiving one or more live video feeds from one or more cameras. The live video feeds are received concurrently. The live video feeds are analyzed to detect a fluid leak using a motion algorithm. False positives are reduced and sensitivity for the fluid leak detection is improved using information from one or more integrated systems, in response to detecting the fluid leak. A notification is generated to inform a user of the detected fluid leak, in response to detecting the fluid leak after reducing the false positives.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 6, 2022Publication date: July 6, 2023Inventors: Ronan HENNESSY, Róisín O'BRIEN, Matthew Breed Myung-Sun SCOTT

Patent number: 11589186Abstract: A method includes defining a plurality of monitored spaces. For each of at least a subset of the plurality of monitored spaces, the method includes associating a set of laboratory equipment with the monitored space, calculating an equipment utilization score for the monitored space based on resource consumption data for the set of laboratory equipment, calculating an occupancy utilization score for the monitored space based on occupant tracking data for the monitored space, and calculating a combined utilization score based on the equipment utilization score and the occupancy utilization score. The method also includes providing a graphical user interface comprising the combined utilization scores for the subset of the plurality of monitored spaces.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 2022Date of Patent: February 21, 2023Assignee: JOHNSON CONTROLS TYCO IP HOLDINGS LLPInventors: Matthew Breed Myung-Sun Scott, Joseph McEvoy, Edward Gerard McNamara, Kyle Shamrock

Patent number: 11367534Abstract: A building system of a building, the building system including one or more memory devices configured to store instructions thereon that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to receive occupancy data of occupants from an occupant tracking system, the occupancy data indicating locations of the occupants within a building space of the building. The instructions cause the one or more processors to determine, based on the occupancy data, whether one or more occupants of the occupants have violated a social distancing policy that reduces a spread of an infectious disease within the building based on the locations of at least two of the occupants, the social distancing policy based on one or more characteristics of the building space and perform one or more operations to improve compliance with the social distancing policy within the building.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 2021Date of Patent: June 21, 2022Assignee: Johnson Controls Tyco IP Holdings LLPInventors: Edward Gerard Mc Namara, James Callanan, Tim Murphy, Robert Artur Dubisz, Matthew Breed Myung-Sun Scott, Amit Kumar, Sarah O'Connell, Rachel D.
