  • Publication number: 20240327856
Abstract: Provided herein are plants, plant parts, a population of plants or plant parts, and plant products (e.g., seed composition, protein and/or oil composition) comprising reduced galactinol synthase (GAS) and/or raffinose synthase (RS) activity, and compositions and methods of producing such plants and plant parts. The plants, plant parts, population of plants or plant parts, or plant products can have a genetic mutation that reduces the GAS and/or RS activity, decreased RFO (e.g., raffinose, stachyose) content, increased sucrose content, and/or increased protein content. The mutation can be located at least partially in a GAS and/or RS gene or its homolog or its regulatory region.

  • Publication number: 20240327854
Abstract: Provided herein are genome edited plants and plant parts that comprise modified oil and/or protein content. The genome edited plants and plant parts have one or more genetic mutations in at least one native abscisic acid-insensitive 3 (abi3)-interacting protein 2 (AIP2) gene or homolog thereof, in a regulatory region of the at least one native AIP2 gene or homolog thereof, altered level or activity of an AIP2 gene or AIP2 protein, and/or modified protein and/or oil content. The modified protein and/or oil content includes an increased protein and/or oil content in seed. Also provided herein are compositions and methods of producing such plants and plant parts, and plant products including plant protein compositions comprising modified seed protein and/or oil content.

  • Patent number: 12046328
Abstract: Methods and systems for replenishing a consumable include order satisfaction responsive to an indication of imminent failure or depletion of a consumable based on detected parameters. A sensor reading may indicate that a consumable is performing below a threshold, or has limited remaining capacity. Responsive to a determination that a replacement is necessary, the method may recommend one or more alternatives. The recommendation may be made based on how closely a candidate replacement's performance or other characteristic (e.g. cost, capacity) matches that of a currently-used consumable. The recommendation may be based on one or more attributes of a candidate replacement compared to a currently-used consumable. An order may be automatically placed according to the currently-used consumable or the recommended alternative(s). The order may be delivered with instructions regarding where and when to replace the consumable.

  • Patent number: 10867276
Abstract: A merchant system including an order management application and method of integrating orders received from multiple ordering channels is described. An aggregated order queue is established including multiple orders from multiple different ordering channels. The orders are processed for fulfillment and a delivery channel is selected from multiple delivery channels for delivery of the one or more items of the order. The multiple orders, regardless of the ordering channel originating the order, and delivery channels may be managed via a single user interface.

  • Publication number: 20190299082
Abstract: An apparatus and method for reducing the incidence of sudden stoppage while riding a self balancing skateboard. Wheels are mounted with the front of the bumper, or integrated within a special replacement bumper, of the skateboard to provide a low-friction “rollout” instead of an instant stop, allowing the rider to maintain control in the event that the front of the board contacts the ground. The wheels protrude from a lower surface of the bumper to limit contact of the bumper with the ground.

  • Publication number: 20190009195
Abstract: A portable strainer device that consists of a cylindrical housing (sleeve) that slips over the end of a fuel nozzle with a strainer inside the cylindrical filtration housing at the bottom end and wide outside circular lip at the top end of the cylindrical strainer housing. The lip is wide enough, so that it will not fall into a fuel tank. There is a lip inside the cylindrical housing (sleeve) at the bottom.

  • Publication number: 20160129407
Abstract: A system to increase the speed of alcohol fermentation and/or maturation by means of induced waves that can have its frequency and intensity matched to the target application. This system can be deployed using two different architectures. The first is by direct immersion of “self-powered” device into the target medium, which irradiate the fluid, its contents, and its storage container with vibratory and/or sonic energy. These devices can take several forms such as spheres, cubes or any other geometric shape and can be configured with sensors to detect the quality of the medium. Also, the devices can change its buoyancy depending on the conditions of the medium. This change of buoyancy can be utilized to optimize the delivery of vibratory and/or sonic energy to the medium, improve energy transfer from an external power source, or indicate the level of alcohol/content of the medium.
