Abstract: A method for generating a graphical overlay indicating storage usage for a graphical representation of an information handling system includes determining a first storage capacity of a first hardware component of a second information handling system, determining a first storage usage of the first hardware component, generating a first graphical overlay for a first graphical representation of a physical configuration of the first information handling system based on the first storage capacity of the first hardware component and the first storage usage of the first hardware component, wherein the first graphical overlay comprises a first indication of the first storage usage of the first hardware component, and displaying the first graphical overlay and the first graphical representation.

Abstract: A chassis for housing a computing device of an information handling system includes a receiving portion of an expansion card receiver that receives an expansion card and operably connects the expansion card to another component of the computing device while the expansion card is received by the receiving portion. The chassis further includes a management portion of the expansion card receiver that receives a force from a user and, in response to receiving the force: transitions the management portion from a first state to a second state. In the first state, a handle, that enables the expansion card to be removed from the chassis is disposed inside of the management portion and the expansion card receiver is locked to the chassis. In the second state, the handle is disposed outside of the management portion and the expansion card receiver is unlocked from the chassis.

Abstract: A mechanism for servicing a sled installed in a server includes a grip bar, and a four-bar linkage connected to the grip bar. The four-bar linkage has a first position that engages the sled to a chassis of the server, and a second position that disengages the sled from the chassis of the server. Movement of the grip bar moves the four-bar linkage from the first position to the second position, thus disengaging the sled from the chassis and allowing the sled to be removed from the chassis for service.

Abstract: A lockout prevention system includes a management Information Handling System (IHS) that is coupled through a network to network interface on a networking device. The networking device receives a configuration instruction through the network interface from the management IHS. The networking device then determines that the application of the configuration instruction will inhibit the communication between the management IHS and the networking device through the network interface. The networking device then provide a warning message for display on the management IHS in response to determining that the application of the configuration instruction will inhibit the communication between the management IHS and the networking device through the network interface.
