  • Patent number: 9520033
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed towards a transaction machine. The transaction machine may include a first transaction access point configured to provide a first set of transaction options and a second transaction access point configured to provide a second set of transaction options. An item cartridge may be shared between the first transaction access point and the second transaction access point. During a transaction, a routing mechanism may route an item from the item cartridge to an item dispenser of the first transaction access point or to an item dispenser of the second transaction access point.

  • Publication number: 20150373122
Abstract: Data-processing apparatus (30; 320) receives (step 160) data from a data server (20) in a single shot. The apparatus (30; 320) performs a management check (steps 170, 180, 190) on the data, in which the data is checked for compliance with at least one pre-defined criterion. The data and the results of the management check are recorded (step 200). At least one recipient for the data is identified (step 210). The data is processed to conform it to at least one requirement of each identified recipient (step 220). The processed data is delivered to the recipient (step 230).

  • Patent number: 9188804
Abstract: Thermochromic liquid crystal filters are fabricated by providing two polarizers oriented at offset polarity with respect to each other; providing alignment structures adjacent the inner surfaces of the polarizers; placing a plurality of spacers between the polarizers; and filling a space created by the spacers with a thermotropic liquid crystal that acts as a wave block in an isotropic state and acts to rotate the polarization of light in a nematic state. Alternatively, the filters can be created by encapsulating a thermochromic liquid crystal with a polymer material to form a flexible film and orienting the thermochromic liquid crystal in the polymer material to create a structure that functions as a thermochromic optical filter. Such filters can control the flow of light and radiant heat through selective reflection, transmission, absorption, and/or re-emission.

  • Publication number: 20140279492
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for resilient document image production. During a document deposit transaction, such as a check deposit, a self-service device, such as an automated teller machine (ATM), may experience a fault. In some instances, an image of the document may have been scanned prior to experiencing the fault. The self-service device may retrieve one or more scanned images, for example, over a time window prior to the fault, such as 5 minutes, and allow access to the retrieved images. A processing entity may access the retrieved images, determine that one of the retrieved images is associated with the first document deposit transaction, and resolve a claim for the document deposit transaction.

  • Publication number: 20140258179
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for providing an open retirement account are presented. An open retirement account may comprise of one or more financial accounts, for example, a checking account, a savings account, a 401k, an individual retirement account (IRA), a roth IRA, a certificate of deposit (CD), or any other suitable financial account. Deposits may be made to one or more of the financial accounts where the deposits may have one of a pre-tax state or a post-tax state. The tax states for the deposits may be tracked. The open retirement account may be displayed to a user such that the pre-tax balance is displayed separate from the post-tax balance. In some embodiments, a user may request to withdraw funds from a pre-tax portion of the open retirement account, and the system may compute a tax liability for the withdrawal. The tax liability, including any charges and/or a tax rate for the withdrawal, may be displayed to the user.

  • Patent number: 8665414
Abstract: Thermochromic liquid crystal filters are fabricated by providing two polarizers oriented at offset polarity with respect to each other; providing alignment structures adjacent the inner surfaces of the polarizers; placing a plurality of spacers between the polarizers; and filling a space created by the spacers with a thermotropic liquid crystal that acts as a depolarizer in a nematic state. The filter acts as a wave block when the liquid crystal is in an isotropic state. The filters have particular application in passive or active light-regulating and temperature-regulating films and materials.

  • Publication number: 20110238572
Abstract: Various methods and systems are described, that, for example, receive at a computer a first request for a remote control session to remotely control the computer; responsive to receiving the first request, determine whether a local transaction is being performed at the computer; and responsive to determining that a local transaction is being performed at the computer, reject the first request.

  • Patent number: 6578642
Abstract: A trailing attachment for a deep tillage implement is supported from the implement frame by transversely spaced four-bar linkages extending rearwardly from the frame. Single acting hydraulic cylinders are pressurized to lift and adjust the attachment. A breather plug and a U-shaped hose allow air to be pushed from the rod end as each cylinder extends. To lower the trailing attachment, an SCV is moved to open the base ends of the cylinders to the return line of the hydraulic system, and the weight of the attachment moves the tools into ground engagement. If vertical lifting force exceeds attachment weight during operation, air is pushed out through the breather plug and a vacuum is drawn in the base ends so the attachment can lift to avoid excessive forces, even if the SCV is in neutral and blocking fluid flow into the base ends.
