Abstract: Aircraft electric power distribution systems and methods of operating aircraft electrical power distribution systems are provided. One such method comprises determining a measure of an electrical power demand of a power and propulsion system of the aircraft; setting a target operating voltage of the aircraft electrical power distribution system based at least in part on the measure of the electrical power demand; and controlling the operating voltage in accordance with the set target operating voltage. In some embodiments the measure of the electrical power is a measure of an operating parameter of a gas turbine engine or propulsor of the aircraft.

Abstract: The system disclosed herein implements an improved anycast routing technique that enables a content delivery network (CDN) to control the load on various points of presence (PoPs), but that also maintains the ability to have requests that would have been sent to an offline PoP be automatically redirected to another PoP. The CDN is able to control the load on the PoPs by configuring content requests to be routed to a particular PoP. For instance, a CDN is configured to assign a subnet of distinct IP addresses to each PoP in a group of PoPs, so that each PoP can announce a unique anycast prefix. The CDN can control when and how these unique anycast prefix are announced to balance load across the PoPs.

Abstract: A borescope feedback system with haptic feedback includes a borescope cable, a containment device, a cable sensor that is configured to detect motion of the borescope cable and output cable sensor data indicative of the motion of the borescope cable, a feedback device that is configured to controllably apply friction to the borescope cable, and a computing device configured to output a graphical user interface of a virtual reality representation of the borescope cable in a virtual environment; determine at least one of a direction of axial motion, a direction of circumferential motion, or a magnitude of the motion of the borescope cable; determine a collision of the virtual reality representation of the distal portion of the borescope cable with an obstruction in the virtual environment; and output a feedback signal to the feedback device that causes the feedback device to apply an amount of friction to the borescope cable.

Abstract: Financial portfolios are analyzed based on a number of statistics and presented as a visualization on a display. The visualization is changeable based on user inputs, including definition by the user of a analysis period and selection of specific statistical filters. The visualization responds to the inputs substantially in real-time.
