  • Publication number: 20210005181
Abstract: The disclosure describes keyword detection in an audio processor and methods therefor including a low-power keyword detection engine (LKDE) and a high-power keyword detection engine (HKDE). In one implementation, the LKDE detects a keyword in data from a single audio source while buffering data from multiple audio sources and, upon detection of a keyword, the HKDE is awakened to verify the previously detected keyword by processing the buffered audio data from the multiple sources.

  • Patent number: 9687840
Abstract: The invention includes compositions comprising curable imidazolium-functionalized poly(room-temperature ionic liquid) copolymers and homopolymers. The invention further includes methods of preparing and using the compositions of the invention. The invention further includes novel methods of preparing thin, supported, room-temperature ionic liquid-containing polymeric films on a porous support. In certain embodiments, the methods of the invention avoid the use of a gutter layer, which greatly reduces the overall gas permeance and selectivity of the composite membrane. In other embodiments, the films of the invention have increased gas selectivity and permeance over films prepared using methods described in the prior art.

  • Publication number: 20150142489
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to optimize a vendor's schedule by analyzing potential follow-up tasks and suggesting suitable follow-up tasks that satisfy certain criteria. The total revenue per hour of the follow-up task may be calculated by taking travel time to and from the follow-up task into account and compared to total revenue per hour calculated based on the vendor's historical job information. Coupon rates that may be offered to the customer associated with the follow-up task may also be determined algorithmically and suggested to the vendor.

  • Patent number: 8903721
Abstract: A mute setting is automatically set based on a speech detection result for acoustic signals received by a device. A device detects the speech based on a variety of cues from acoustic signals received using one or more microphones. If speech is detected within one or more frames, a mute setting may be automatically turned off. If speech is not detected, a mute setting may be automatically turned on. A mute setting may remain on as long as speech is not detected within the received acoustic signals. A varying delay may be implemented to help avoid false detections. The delay may be utilized during a mute-on state, and gradually removed during a transition from a mute-on state to a mute-off state.

  • Patent number: 8750526
Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for dynamic detection of changes in signal bandwidth associated with audio samples received by a communication device during handovers, where the communication device is moved through geographical areas served by different wireless network technologies. Based on the detection, operation parameters of an audio processor of the communication device may be adjusted or switched to achieve optimal performance of audio enhancing procedures (e.g., noise suppression) performed by the audio processor and to preserve minimal power consumption.

  • Publication number: 20130324372
Abstract: A multi-function striking bag includes a base and an adjustable length elongate member or post having lower and upper free ends. The lower free end is normally supported by the base in a substantial vertical orientation defining a vertical axis. A punching bag is supported on the upper free end. Two helical springs are spaced from each other along the post in-line with the post for providing flexing points where the springs are positioned. A flex-inhibitor is associated with each spring for selectively enabling an associated spring to flex and provide a flexing point or preventing flexing to prevent a flexing point. Each flex inhibitor includes a rod that is slidably mounted within the post and selectively movable between axial positions to engage or clear an associated helical spring.

  • Publication number: 20050146602
Abstract: Disclosed is a telecine system (300) for media conversion of an original format video signal to a new format video signal. The new format video signal is displayed on at least two monitors (303, 307) having different color gamuts so that a colorist (302) can adjust the telecine process in order to produce the new format video signal such that it has acceptable image quality on both of the monitors (303, 307).
