The user distraction criterion relates to use, by a first user 401, of a user device 400 exceeding a threshold level. The means 301 is also configured to enable the apparatus to determine whether a presence criterion has been met. The presence criterion relates to a proximity of at least a second user 402 to the user device and/or first user being below a threshold level. In response to determining that the user distraction and presence criteria have been met, a function 712a, 712b is caused to be triggered on the user device.
