    Abstract: A gaming machine that includes a player tracking panel configured to fit in a recessed opening of a gaming machine cabinet. The player tracking panel can be attached to the gaming machine cabinet by a hinge in a manner allowing the player tracking panel to be swung away from the gaming machine cabinet to provide access to an interior region of the cabinet through the recessed opening. The player tracking panel can include player tracking devices and associated electronics for processing user interactions with the devices.
