  • Patent number: 11993954
Abstract: In one form, a multipoint locking assembly included a first latch device, a second latch device, and a mortise assembly coupled to the first and second latch devices. The mortise assembly may comprise a first transmission coupled to the first latch device via a first flexible member, a second transmission coupled to the second latch device via a second flexible member, and an actuation assembly operable to actuate the first and second transmissions. At least one of the transmissions comprises a slack removal device operable to remove slack in the flexible member to which it is coupled, thereby ensuring proper transmission of pulling forces between the transmission and the latch device.

  • Publication number: 20240076907
Abstract: A center slide assembly for a multi-point exit device. Upper and lower spool assemblies may be displaced from first positions to second positions along an inner region of a center slide. The displacement of the spool assemblies may displace upper and lower pull cables so as to retract latch mechanisms from extended positions to retracted positions. A first latching pin may be displaced, along with the displacement of the upper spool assembly, along an abutment surface of a tilting link so as to pivotally displace the tilting link from an unlocked position to a locked position. Displacement of the lower spool assembly may displace a second latching pin to a position wherein the second latching pin may be received and retained within a jog of the tilting link when the tilting link is in the locked position, which may thereby retain the associated latch mechanism in the retracted position.

  • Publication number: 20180293527
Abstract: A system for organizing assignments of each of a plurality of trailers to a plurality of docks in a warehouse may include a non-transitory computer-readable memory containing computer-executable instructions and a processor. The processor may be configured to execute the instructions to (a) receive data comprising (i) an amount of time that each of a plurality of trailers has been at the warehouse; (ii) contents to be unloaded from each of the plurality of trailers; and (iii) content constraints associated with a plurality of docks in a warehouse, (b) reduce the data to a computer-solvable linear problem, (c) solve the linear problem to minimize an amount of time that each of the plurality of trailers spends at the warehouse, wherein the solution to the linear problem comprises an assignments of one of the plurality of trailers to one of the plurality of docks, and (d) output the assignment.

  • Publication number: 20160339380
Abstract: A liquid desiccant regeneration system and method of liquid desiccant regeneration are described. The liquid desiccant regeneration system includes a liquid desiccant regenerator having an engine producing a heated exit stream, and at least one dehydrating tube comprising a first water vapor permeable wall. A low concentration liquid desiccant stream feeds into the liquid desiccant regenerator, while a high concentration liquid desiccant stream exiting the liquid desiccant regenerator. A carrier stream and the low concentration liquid desiccant are in contact with opposite sides of the first water vapor permeable wall, and the low concentration liquid desiccant stream is heated by heat from the heated exit stream to drive water from the low concentration liquid desiccant stream through the first water vapor permeable wall to the carrier stream to form a humidified carrier stream.

  • Publication number: 20150233588
Abstract: A heat and mass exchanger system is described. The heat and mass exchange system can include a plurality of exchange components extending across a heat and mass exchanger (HMX) duct, where a flow through the HMX duct is cross-flow relative to said exchange components. The exchange components can include a plurality of first elongated, hollow conduits and a plurality of second elongated, hollow conduit, where either the first elongated, hollow conduits or the second elongated, hollow conduits have water vapor permeable exterior walls, and a carrier air stream and a liquid desiccant stream flow in contact with opposite sides of the water vapor permeable exterior walls.
