  • Patent number: 12317776
Abstract: An agricultural harvesting machine includes a harvested crop repository and a crop processing system configured to engage crop in a field, perform a crop processing operation on the crop, and move the processed crop to the harvested crop repository, the crop processing system including a transfer mechanism configured to transfer the processed crop to a support machine. The agricultural harvesting machine includes a control system configured to identify a turn to be performed by the agricultural harvesting machine in the field, determine a harvesting machine turn path for the agricultural harvesting machine to perform the turn on the field, generate a support machine turn path based on the harvesting machine turn path, and communicate an indication of the support machine turn path to a communication device associated with the support machine.

  • Publication number: 20250107478
Abstract: A method of controlling a mobile agricultural machine that includes performing an agricultural operation during a given pass in a field using a first set of machine settings, obtaining in situ data representing the agricultural operation during the given pass, generating a performance metric based on the in situ data, identifying a second set of machine settings based on the performance metric, and outputting a control instruction that controls the mobile agricultural machine during a subsequent pass in the field based on the second set of machine settings.

  • Publication number: 20250031602
Abstract: Computer-implemented systems and methods are provided for automatically conforming guidance of work vehicles to detected conditions in a work area. Upon determining a deviation of a work vehicle's current movement path from a first planned movement path with respect to the work area, at least a portion of the work area may be identified as a region of interest, along with coverage characteristics associated with the region of interest, based at least in part on the determined deviation. A second planned movement path is generated for the work vehicle and/or another work vehicle subsequently traversing the work area relative to the region of interest, wherein the generated second planned movement path accounts for the coverage characteristics associated with the region of interest. The second planned movement path may be generated to avoid the region, prevent turns within the region, optimize work vehicle operation within the work area generally, etc.

  • Patent number: 12114601
Abstract: A method of controlling a mobile agricultural machine that includes detecting a target value setting input identifying a target metric value for a quality metric representing a performance characteristic of the mobile agricultural machine and having an inverse relationship to machine speed, receiving machine data indicative of operating parameters on the mobile agricultural machine, generating, based on the machine data, a current metric value for the quality metric, determining a target machine speed based on the current metric value relative to the target metric value, and outputting a control instruction that controls the mobile agricultural machine based on the target machine speed.

  • Publication number: 20240324504
Abstract: A mobile agricultural machine includes a set of ground engaging elements, a controllable subsystem configured to perform a work operation on a field, and a control system. The control system is configured to identify a work performance metric representing a performance characteristic of the work operation having an inverse relationship to traversal speed of the mobile agricultural machine over the field, receive an indication of operator presence relative to the mobile agricultural machine, generate a weighting parameter that weights the work performance metric relative to a ride quality metric based on the indication of operator presence, determine a target machine speed based on the weighting parameter, and output a control instruction based on the target machine speed.

  • Patent number: 11805732
Abstract: An agricultural harvesting machine includes a harvested crop repository having a fill capacity, a crop processing system configured to engage crop in a field, perform a crop processing operation on the crop, and move the processed crop to the harvested crop repository, a fill level sensor configured to generate a fill level signal indicative of a current fill level of the harvested crop repository, and a control system configured to obtain a machine path definition that represents a machine path for the agricultural harvesting machine, wherein the machine path definition defines a turn pattern and a land size of a land in the field, identify a rendezvous point in the field for the agricultural harvesting machine and a haulage vehicle based on the machine path definition, and generate a control signal based on the rendezvous point.

  • Patent number: 8505724
Abstract: A wiper package assembly for use in packaging a pre-curved wiper blade. The wiper package assembly generally includes a package and a pair of end caps fittable onto the wiper blade and into the package. The package and end caps may be configured to cooperatively hold the pre-curved wiper blade in an at least partially straightened condition. The end caps may be configured to engage the wiper blade without altering the shape of the wiper blade tip, thereby reducing the risk of the wiper tip becoming deformed during by the package. In one embodiment, the end caps are ambidextrous in the sense that identical end caps can be used on opposite ends of the wiper blade. The end cap may include two support slots configured to correspond with the shape of the opposite ends of an asymmetrical wiper blade.
