Publication number: 20180365194Abstract: Systems and methods for digital signal processing using a sliding windowed infinite Fourier transform (“SWIFT”) algorithm are described. A discrete-time Fourier transform (“DTFT”) of an input signal is computed over an infinite-length temporal window that is slid from one sample in the input signal to the next. The DTFT with the temporal window at a given sample point is effectively calculated by phase shifting and decaying the DTFT calculated when the temporal window was positioned at the previous sample point and adding the current sample to the result. The SWIFT algorithms are stable and allow for improved computational efficiency, improved frequency resolution, improved sampling, reduced memory requirements, and reduced spectral leakage.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 15, 2018Publication date: December 20, 2018Inventors: Logan L. Grado, Matthew D. Johnson, Theoden I. Netoff

Publication number: 20180110991Abstract: Described here is a deep brain stimulation (“DBS”) approach that targets several relevant nodes within brain circuitry, while monitoring multiple symptoms for efficacy. This approach to multi-symptom monitoring and stimulation therapy may be used as an extra stimulation setting in extant DBS devices, particularly those equipped for both stimulation and sensing. The therapeutic efficacy of DBS devices is extended by optimizing them for multiple symptoms (such as sleep disturbance in addition to movement disorders), thus increasing quality of life for patients.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 19, 2017Publication date: April 26, 2018Inventors: Gregory Frederick Molnar, Luke Johnson, David Escobar, Edward Mark Bello, II, Jerrold L. Vitek, Matthew D. Johnson

Publication number: 20180110973Abstract: Systems and methods for programming multi-electrode neuromodulation systems, with applications for at least deep brain stimulation (DBS) therapy. One or more configurations can be generated and presented to a user for selection. The selected configurations can be settings for programming a pulse generator. The one or more configurations can be Pareto optimal in terms of one or more objective values and can be generated using a particle swarm optimization. The generated configurations can be visualized on a Pareto front for user selection. Objective values can include minimizing power use, maximizing activation of neural pathways and/or regions of interest, minimizing activation of neural pathways and or regions of avoidance, and maximizing or minimizing the distance to sources of sensed functional data.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 26, 2017Publication date: April 26, 2018Inventors: Matthew D. Johnson, Edgar Peña, Simeng Zhang, Steven Deyo, YiZi Xiao

Publication number: 20170266518Abstract: A golf club comprises a shaft, a club head, and a connection assembly that allows the shaft to be easily disconnected from the club head. In particular embodiments, the connection assembly includes a removable hosel sleeve that allows a shaft to be supported a desired predetermined orientation relative to the club head. In this manner, the shaft loft and/or lie angle of the club can be adjusted without resorting to traditional bending of the shaft. In another embodiment, the club head has an adjustable sole that can be adjusted upwardly and downwardly relative to the strike face of the club head, which is effective to adjust the face angle of the club head.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 6, 2017Publication date: September 21, 2017Applicant: Taylor Made Golf Company, Inc.Inventors: Todd P. Beach, Mark V. Greaney, Ian C. Wright, Kraig A. Willett, Nathan T. Sargent, Matthew D. Johnson, Gery M. Zimmerman, Kevin R. Harper

Publication number: 20170123382Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided for enabling devices to determine the time zone in which they are located. A mobile device may receive location information from one or more sources. Based thereon, the current location of the mobile device may be determined in terms of latitude and longitude. The indication of the current location may be converted to an index value according to a Hilbert curve (or other space-filling curve), and the index value applied to a time zone index file to determine the local time zone. A time zone setting of the mobile device may be updated accordingly. Furthermore, “geofencing” may be used by the mobile device to detect movement towards and through a time zone boundary, leading to a new time zone determination being initiated.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 10, 2015Publication date: May 4, 2017Inventors: Ronald S. Ruzicka, Ken M. Sadahiro, Axel Andrejs, Matthew D. Johnson, Gregory R. Slayden, Wen Li Looi

Patent number: 9600801Abstract: Systems and methods for integrating research and incorporation of information into a construction specification involve providing information for potential inclusion in a specification to a user as part of the specification editing process so as to reduce the time spent in finding and researching information and including the information in the specification. A template specification with sections is provided, each section having one or more computer links corresponding to potential customization of the section with customized information. In response to selection of the link, construction information for potential inclusion in the template specification as a customization thereof corresponding to the selected computer link is retrieved from a database of construction information and is displayed adjacent the template specification.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2011Date of Patent: March 21, 2017Assignee: Architectural Computer Services, Inc.Inventors: Christopher G. Bushnell, Matthew D. Johnson
