    Abstract: A quick connector comprising a connector body having a collar defining an opening, a verification indicia fixed to the collar, and a sliding locker including a base, and a lock arm. The base can include an armature integrally and immovably joined with it, having a wing extending along and spaced from an outer surface of the collar. The lock arm and wing are all simultaneously moveable in unison when the locker transitions from an unlocked mode, where the base protrudes from the transverse opening and supports the wing to obstruct the verification indicia, thereby inhibiting reading and/or scanning of the verification indicia, to a locked mode, where the base is inserted farther into the opening and supports the wing to allow reading and/or scanning of the first verification indicia to confirm proper installation of the quick connector. A related method of use is provided.

The flat tube has generally flat side walls and is lockingly retained with the connector body by male and female locking structures that cooperate with one another.

A grab ring is disposed in the bore of the housing and includes a body that extends about and along the first axis between a first end and a second end and defines a passage that extends between the first and second ends for receiving one of the first or second pipes. A plurality of protrusions extend from the body in the passage for clamping against the received pipe to prevent the received pipe from being axially removed from the passage. A plurality of hinges are spaced from one another about the body for allowing the body to uniformly and circumferentially flex about the hinges relative to the first axis when the first or second pipe is received in the passage.

The housing further includes a plurality of fingers that are spaced circumferentially from one another and are deflectable in a radial direction. At least one of the fingers has a plurality of teeth that are spaced axially from one another and extend into the open bore of the housing for biting into the first tube to resist pull out of the first tube from the open bore. Each of the teeth also extends by a height to a leading edge of an engagement surface which also includes an angled portion that extends at an angle relative to the axis. The axially spaced teeth have at least one of differing heights and differing angles of the angled portions.

    Abstract: A quick connector assembly for quickly connecting and establishing fluid communication between a male end form having a bead and a tube. The quick connector assembly includes a housing having a stem portion for receiving the hose and a female receiving portion for receiving the male end form. The quick connector includes a locker which is moveable between a non-engaged position for allowing the male end form to be inserted into or withdrawn from the quick connector assembly and an engaged position for trapping the male end form in the quick connector assembly. The locker includes a pair of outside legs, each having a notch, and the housing includes a pair of windows for receiving the notches when the locker is in the engaged position. The locker cannot be moved back to the non-engaged position until the outside legs are pulled outwardly, thereby disengaging the notches from the windows.
