  • Patent number: 12046373
Abstract: Systems and techniques are described for using a robotic device to autonomously monitor activity within a property to predict a high likelihood of germ or disease transmission, and in response, perform one or more sterilization operations to regions of a property to reduce the likelihood of germ or disease transmission. In some implementations, sensor data collected by one or more sensors located within a property is processed. One or more activity patterns of a user located within the property based on processing the sensor data is identified. A determination to perform a sterilization operation based on the one or more activity patterns of the user is made. An instruction is provided to a robotic device located in the property to perform the sterilization operation.

  • Patent number: 12033229
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a storage device, are disclosed. A system performs operations including receiving sensor data from a sensor of a property monitored by a monitoring system, and based on the sensor data, determining a first event and a second event that have occurred at the property. The operations include determining that the monitoring system is not able to communicate with an outside network, and classifying the first event as a high priority event and the second event as a low priority event. The operations include determining that a mobile device is able to receive data from the monitoring system; and providing, to the mobile device, data indicating the first event and an instruction to transmit the data indicating the first event to a server upon the mobile device being able to communicate with the outside network.

  • Publication number: 20240219138
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, are described for implementing a smart firearm safety device. The safety device attaches to a firearm having a trigger and a slot for receiving a magazine. The safety device includes a locking mechanism that attaches to the trigger to preclude depressing a trigger of the firearm and a sensor that determines an orientation of the firearm or a relative motion of the firearm to indicate detected movement of the firearm. The safety device also includes a radio device that receives parameter signals from the sensor indicating movement of the firearm. The radio device communicates with a component of a property monitoring system to receive a command to engage the locking mechanism to preclude depressing the trigger of the firearm based on parameter signals indicating a particular type of detected movement of the firearm.

  • Patent number: 12017668
Abstract: Techniques for enabling operation of a vehicle after detecting a fault associated with a component of the vehicle are described herein. A vehicle computing system can monitor components of the vehicle and identify a fault associated with a component. Based on the fault, the vehicle computing system can cause the vehicle to cease (e.g., stop) or limit operation in an environment. The vehicle computing system can receive a request to override the fault and continue operation of the vehicle in a recovery mode with limited parameters (e.g., limited speed, acceleration, etc.). Based on a determination that the request to override the fault is valid, the vehicle computing system can cause the vehicle to be controlled, by an operator or an autonomous controller, according to parameters of the recovery mode.

  • Patent number: 11970417
Abstract: Systems for producing articles from glass tube include a converter having a base with a plurality of processing stations and a turret moveable relative to the base. The turret indexes a plurality of holders for holding the glass tubes successively through the processing stations. The systems further include a gas flow system or a suction system for producing a flow of gas through the glass tube during one or more heating, forming, separating or piercing operations. The flow of gas through the glass tube produced by the gas flow system or suction system may be sufficient to evacuate or purge volatile constituents of the glass from the glass tube and/or pierce a meniscus formed on the glass tube during separation, thereby reducing the Surface Hydrolytic Response (SHR) of the interior surface of the glass tube and articles made therefrom.

  • Publication number: 20240060457
Abstract: An engine is provided with a cylinder liner that extends beyond the surface of the crankcase surrounding the cylinder. When the engine is oriented in an inverted V-block configuration, the extension of the cylinder liner provides a barrier to oil that can pool on the crankcase surface and otherwise enter the interior of the cylinder, absent such a barrier.

  • Publication number: 20240060276
Abstract: A controller may monitor a plurality of operations performed using one or more implements of the work machine. The controller may determine that the work machine is performing a particular operation based on monitoring the plurality of operations. The controller may obtain, based on information regarding the particular operation, camera view information, from a data structure, indicating that the particular operation is associated with a particular camera of a plurality of cameras of the work machine. Each camera, of the plurality of cameras, may capture a respective view of a plurality of views of the work machine. The controller may determine, based on the camera view information, that a bandwidth associated with a video stream, of a particular view of the work machine captured by the particular camera, is to be increased. The controller may increase the bandwidth associated with the video stream provided by the particular camera based on determining that the bandwidth is to be increased.

  • Patent number: 11891076
Abstract: Techniques for determining whether to limit an operation of a vehicle while operating in a manually assisted mode of operation are described herein. A vehicle computing system can monitor components of the vehicle and identify a fault associated with a component. The vehicle computing system can determine whether the fault is associated with a manual operation of the vehicle. Based on a determination that the fault is not associated with the manual operation of the vehicle (e.g., fault associated with an autonomous control component), the vehicle computing system can override the fault and enable continued operation of the vehicle in the manually assisted mode of operation. Based on a determination that the fault is associated with the manual operation of the vehicle, the vehicle computing system can cause the vehicle to cease operating.

  • Patent number: 11891078
Abstract: Techniques for identifying a constraint to apply to an operation of a vehicle are described herein. A vehicle computing system receives diagnostics and constraints associated with components of the vehicle. The vehicle computing system identifies constraints to apply to vehicular operation based on the received diagnostics and constraints. The vehicle computing system may determine whether a received constraint is valid, based on associated diagnostics. Based on a determination that the constraint is valid, the vehicle computing system may include the constraint in vehicle control considerations. Based on a determination that the constraint is invalid, the vehicle computing system may withhold the constraint from vehicle control considerations.

  • Publication number: 20240034360
Abstract: An autonomous vehicle's control systems include an A-kit module that operates autonomy logic to generate a desired trajectory from sensor data. A B-kit module receives the desired trajectory and generates inputs for actuators such as steering, brake and throttle actuators based on the desired trajectory. Safing logic (which may be located in the A-kit, B-kit, both the A-kit and the B-kit or elsewhere within or outside of the vehicle) receives a sensor fault indication and executes a contingency trajectory such as a safing maneuver to bring the vehicle to a safe state.

  • Publication number: 20240036831
Abstract: A system allows translation across API models represented using different API description languages. The system stores model bindings from a common visualization model format to multiple API description languages. The model bindings map constructs of the API description language to and from modeling constructs of the common visualization model format. The system uses the model bindings to convert API models to and from representations based on API description languages to the common visualization model format. The system used the common visualization model format to generate visualizations of the API model that can be displayed via a user interface and also allow users to modify the API model.

  • Patent number: 11834363
Abstract: A method for ceramming a glass article to a glass-ceramic includes placing a glass article into a heating apparatus, and heating the glass article to a first hold temperature at a first predetermined heating rate. The glass article is held at the first hold temperature for a first predetermined duration. The viscosity of the glass article is maintained within log viscosity ±1.0 poise during the first predetermined duration. The glass article is then heated from the first hold temperature to a second hold temperature at a second predetermined heating rate. The glass article is held at the second hold temperature for a second duration. A density of the glass article is monitored from the heating of the glass article from the first hold temperature through the second duration, and the second duration is ended when an absolute value of a density rate of change of the glass article is less than or equal to 0.10 (g/cm3)/min.
