The method is performed by a computing device that includes a host processor coupled to a bus processor and to memory. The method includes receiving, by the host processor, a human-readable configuration file that includes parameters for communication using the communication protocol. The method additionally includes generating, by the host processor, at least one data structure based on the parameters in the human-readable configuration file. Additionally, the method includes providing, to the bus processor, memory location associated with the at least one data structure for use in communicating using the communication protocol.
