  • Patent number: 7909434
Abstract: A printhead having a plurality of drop generators formed on a substrate. Each drop generator includes a nozzle, and the nozzles are arranged in a dual inline architecture. In one embodiment, a column of nozzles includes a first group of nozzles located at a first axial position relative to a scan axis and a second group of nozzles located at a second axial position relative to the scan axis so that all nozzles in the column are located at either the first axial position or the second axial position. The distance along the scan axis between the first axial position and the second axial position is set to reduce dot placement error.

  • Patent number: 7517056
Abstract: A fluid ejection device includes a fluid chamber, a fluid restriction communicated with the fluid chamber, and a fluid channel communicated with the fluid restriction. The fluid restriction has a fluid restriction parameter defined as (2*W+2*H)*L/(H*W), wherein W is a width of the fluid restriction, H is a height of the fluid restriction, and L is a length of the fluid restriction. As such, the fluid restriction parameter is in a range of 1.5 to 5.75.
