Publication number: 20150320960Abstract: A PAP system is adapted for treatment of respiratory disease or sleep disordered breathing and includes a headgear adapted for engaging a patient's head. The PAP system also includes a patient interface adapted to be secured to and sealed against a portion of the patient's face, in use, by the headgear. The PAP system further includes a flow generator adapted to be connected to the patient interface. The flow generator is adapted to be secured by a portion of the headgear to the patient's head. In addition, the flow generator includes a blower adapted to provide pressurised breathable gas to a patient through the patient interface. The blower is at least partially vibrationally isolated from the patient's head by at least one foam layer mounted within the flow generator to secure the blower. The at least one foam layer is adapted to reduce the amount of transmitted vibration received by the patient.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 21, 2015Publication date: November 12, 2015Inventors: Adam Francis BARLOW, Philippe Auguste CHALVIGNAC, David CREUSOT, Aaron Samuel DAVIDSON, Clementine DESVOUYES, Gregory Phillip DOCKAR, Dmitri Anatolievich DOUDKINE, Justin John FORMICA, Timothy Tsun-Fai FU, Craig Edward HARRIS, Robert Edward HENRY, Liam HOLLEY, Ronald James HUBY, Benjamin John HUNTER, Barton John KENYON, Philip Rodney KWOK, Dion Charles Chewe MARTIN, Frederick Arlet MAY, Michael Bruce MOIR, Marco MURA, Jose Ignacio ROMANGNOLI, Gerard Michael RUMMERY, David Brent SEARS, Matthew David SPRUELL, James William Charles VANDYKE, Roman VINOKUR

Patent number: 9132252Abstract: Systems, devices and methods of use adapted for treatment of respiratory disease or sleep disordered breathing include a patient interface (10) adapted to be secured to and sealed against a portion of a patient's face, in use. A flow generator is adapted to be connected to the patient interface and to be secured by a portion of the patient's body. The flow generator includes a blower (50) adapted to provide pressurized breathable gas to a patient through the patient interface. The blower is adapted to be at least partially vibrationally isolated from the patient's body by at least one dampening system (49) or device. The dampening device or system is adapted to reduce the amount of transmitted vibration received by the patient. A PAP system includes a patient interface including sealing arrangement (30) adapted to form a seal with the patient's nose and/or mouth and headgear (40) to support the sealing arrangement in position on the patient's head.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2010Date of Patent: September 15, 2015Assignee: ResMed LimitedInventors: Adam Barlow, Philippe Auguste Chalvignac, David Creusot, Aaron Samuel Davidson, Clementine Desvouyes, Gregory Phillip Dockar, Dmitri Anatolievich Doudkine, Justin John Formica, Timonty TsunFai Fu, Craig Edward Harris, Robert Edward Henry, Liam Holley, Ronald James Huby, Benjamin John Hunter, Barton John Kenyon, Philip Rodney Kwok, Dion Charles Chewe Martin, Frederick Arlet May, Michael Bruce Moir, Marco Mura, Jose Ignacia Romagnoli, Gerard Michael Rummery, David Brent Sears, Matthew David Spruell, James William Charles Vandyke, Roman Vinokur

Patent number: 9132255Abstract: A patient interface includes a cushioning structure including at least one hollow chamber filled with first and second discrete and/or layered filling materials and a seal forming structure formed in one piece with the cushioning structure. The seal forming structure includes a thin membrane flap that is structured to provide a seal to the patient's face. The chamber extends only around a portion of the perimeter of the cushioning structure such that the chamber with first and second filling materials is provided in cheek and lip regions of the cushioning structure and a solid silicone portion is provided in a nasal bridge region of the cushioning structure.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 2008Date of Patent: September 15, 2015Assignee: ResMed LimitedInventors: Christopher Scott Skipper, Matthew David Spruell, Joshua Adam Gudiksen, Fiona Catherine Carroll, Johannes Nickol, Johann Sebastian Burz, Achim Biener, Bernd Christoph Lang, Teresa Wang
