  • Publication number: 20240041301
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a device configured to move within a body cavity, such as the gastrointestinal tract, in particular, the small intestine, and methods of using the device. The presently disclosed device may be self-driving, e.g., through the use of one or more traction-motion element, and the articulation of a tip of the device may be controlled and fine tuned. The presently disclosed device may be used in a variety of body cavities such as a vascular body lumen, a digestive body lumen, a respiratory body lumen, or a urinary body lumen, for example, for endoscopic purposes, for delivering a substance into the body cavity, for removing a substance or tissue from the body cavity, for capturing an image of the body cavity, and/or for performing an operation of a tissue or organ using the device.

  • Publication number: 20220047977
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to an air filtration system, an air filtration device, and an air filtration module for removing ultra-fine particles (UFPs), pathogens (e.g., viruses, bacteria, etc.), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), oxides or odors. The systems, devices, and filter modules of the disclosure perform at enhanced filter and power efficiencies. An air filtration system is provides that includes a docking base for receiving a removable, portable air filtration device in fluid communication with the docking base. In certain embodiments, the air filtration system further includes the removable, portable air filtration device. The portable air filtration device may optionally include an air filtration module.

  • Publication number: 20170189727
Abstract: Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods systems and methods for removing ultra-fine particles from air. In one implementation, a low power air purifying respirator is configured for filtering ultra-fine particles using a primary filter having a composite filter media, which may be pleated and may provide no outgassing. The respirator includes at least one fan providing positive pressure air flow to the primary filter at a low face velocity. The at least one fan may comprise a plurality of serially stacked, axial fans configured to increase air pressure without increasing flow. One or more safety valves are disposed along the air flow path to prevent back flow and carbon dioxide buildup during use. A user device may be in communication with a controller in the respirator to control the operations of the respirator. The respirator may be connected to a mask via a hose.
