Abstract: A UV Disinfection System is provided comprising a wastewater treatment device in combination with a UV treatment device. Multiple embodiments provide that the UV treatment device is contained substantially within the wastewater treatment device. Embodiments include those wherein the UV treatment device is substantially vertically oriented and extends downward from an outlet shared by the wastewater treatment device and the UV treatment device, thereby requiring all flow exiting the wastewater treatment device to pass through the UV treatment device.

Abstract: A pump stand for supporting pumps, such as sump pumps, effluent pumps, or sewage pumps within an container, such as a sump container, including an elongated platform, circular pipe-shaped legs secured to the elongated platform, adjustable leg extenders securable to the legs to extend the height of one or more legs, openings in the platform for screening rocks and other debris, a discharge pipe attachment brace secured in a discharge pipe attachment brace opening in one end of the platform and a discharge pipe clamp attached to the discharge pipe attachment brace for securing the platform to the discharge pipe of the sump pump.

Abstract: A septic tank housing system with extension element for use in a septic system including a filter housing with sides, a top section and a bottom; a filter element holder; a plurality of filter elements; a tubular element secured to the outside of the filter housing: a filter housing extension element for extending the overall height of the filter housing; and preferably, a pump for discharging filter liquid effluent from the filter housing.

Abstract: A filtering system for filtering effluent in a septic tank including an outer secondary filter secured within a pipe fitting, wherein the outer secondary filter includes a central opening passing therethrough; an inner primary filter, wherein the inner primary filter is slidingly engaged within the central opening in the outer secondary filter; and a filtering connection element, secured between the outer secondary filter and an inner surface of the pipe fitting, wherein the filtering connection element filters effluent passing upward through the filter pipe fitting and wherein upon removal of the inner primary filter, the outer secondary filter filters the effluent entering the pipe fitting before discharge. Either or both of the outer secondary filter or the inner primary filter may be formed with a biocide to retard the growth of biological material on their surfaces.

Abstract: An effluent distribution system for distributing effluent from a source of waste water, wherein the system includes a chamber, a cover or lid for the chamber, an effluent flow system, a pair of curved end sections secured at one end of the chamber for adjusting the position of one chamber in relation to another chamber, and treatment media wherein the chamber may include as an integral component thereof, the cover or lid and alternatively spray nozzles secured to the cover or lid to assist in the distribution of effluent.

Abstract: Disclosed is a waste water treatment system which includes a water impervious container, a uniform effluent distribution system for distributing effluent in a uniform manner throughout the container, material fill which is placed within the container, an effluent introduction system for introducing the effluent into the material filled container and an outflow mechanism which permits treated effluent to flow out of the waste water treatment system. Also disclosed is a waste water treatment cell system containing a plurality of individual cells for the treatment of the effluent and a system for dumping substantially all of the filtered effluent from the waste water distribution system. Also disclosed is a process for the treatment of waste water using the waste water treatment system.
