Abstract: A stand for use with a syringe having a proximal end and a distal end is disclosed. The stand includes a base and a protrusion extending from the base. The protrusion is adapted to engage the proximal end of the syringe so as to maintain the syringe in a position such that the distal end of the syringe has a vertical position above a vertical position of the proximal end. The protrusion may be structured so as to extend into the proximal end of the syringe and/or form a pressure fit within the syringe. The stand may include a support that contacts a portion of the syringe located between the proximal and distal ends thereof so as to maintain a position of the syringe. Methods for using such a stand as well as kits including a syringe and stand are also disclosed.
