  • Publication number: 20240326651
Abstract: A system and method for managing temperature internal to a Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) system for electric vehicles is provided. The thermal management system of the WPT system uses one or more of passive, semi-active, and active cooling approaches to manage the internal temperatures of the WPT system during a charging session. Improvements in thermal management allow for longer duration charging sessions and higher power charging sessions without the need to suspend charging for cool-down. Further, several different approaches to disguising and implementing the thermal management system in public spaces is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20240320642
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure related to identifying and resolving anomalies associated with an ATM processing a check that has been deposited by a customer. The computing platform may receive a digital representation of the check that has been deposited. The computing platform may compare parameters associated with the check to expected parameters. The computing platform may generate a validation report comprising an anomaly, an event code associated with the anomaly, and an action to resolve the anomaly based on the event code. The computing platform may input results and feedback into a machine learning model to further refine the accuracy and reliability of the computing platform over time.

  • Publication number: 20240311788
Abstract: Arrangements for self-service kiosk inventory control are provided. In some aspects, note data may be received by a computing platform from a self-service kiosk and may include note identifiers. The computing platform may monitor the self-service kiosk for a triggering event. Responsive to detecting the triggering event, the computing platform may generate and send an instruction to the self-service kiosk causing the self-service kiosk to initiate a rescan function. The the rescan function may cause the self-service kiosk to recapture a note identifier associated with each note of currency currently within the self-service kiosk. The results of the rescan may be compared to the received note data to determine whether all expected notes are within the self-service kiosk. If not, a service instruction may be generated and sent, an instruction causing the self-service kiosk to modify functionality may be generated and sent, or the like.

  • Patent number: 12072044
Abstract: A fitting includes a first and second threaded fitting component and a conduit gripping device receivable within the first threaded fitting component. A stroke resisting member is integral with the first threaded fitting component and includes a web having a first radial thickness and extending axially inward from the first threaded fitting component to a distal ring portion having a second radial thickness greater than the first radial thickness. A radially extending bearing surface of the distal ring portion axially engages a radially extending portion of the second fitting component when the first and second fitting components are joined together to the first relative axial position. The stroke resisting member resists additional axial stroke of the first and second fitting components, such that a tightening torque beyond the first relative axial position is increased by the axial engagement.

  • Publication number: 20240247859
Abstract: An apparatus for cryostorage and manipulation of a plurality of container units includes a cryochamber having a cryo-access port. The cryochamber is electrically cooled at cryogenic temperatures. A unit holder is located inside the cryochamber and is configured to hold a plurality of container units. A user access area is provided for selectively permitting access to a chosen container unit by an authenticated user who has been authenticated by the apparatus. A motive grasper is provided for selectively removing the chosen container unit from the cryochamber through the cryo-access port, and selectively placing the chosen container unit into the user access area.

  • Publication number: 20240242557
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to cash handling devices that provide intelligent monitoring and management of cash cycles. A cash handling device having at least one processor, a communication interface, and memory may receive, from a mobile device, a request to process a pre-staged transaction. Subsequently, the cash handling device may generate and present a graphical identifier based on the mobile device requesting access to the cash handling device. Next, the cash handling device may verify that the mobile device is authorized to perform the pre-staged transaction based on the graphical identifier being scanned by the mobile device and cause a connection to be established between the cash handling device and the mobile device. Thereafter, the cash handling device may identify and process the pre-staged transaction associated with the mobile device. Then, the cash handling device may generate a notification indicating completed processing of the identified pre-staged transaction.

  • Publication number: 20180114222
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to interaction among an entity, an entity's mobile device, one or more Automated Teller Machines (ATM's), an associated beacon generator, and a support computing system. With some embodiments, the beacon generator generates a beacon signal to the mobile device. The mobile device extracts beacon information such as an identification of the beacon generator and/or associated ATM and conveys this information to the support computing system via a second wireless channel. The support computing system subsequently instructs the ATM to transition to an appropriate display container as the entity approaches the ATM. The ATM may further transition to different display containers based on interactions with the entity and/or support computing system.

  • Patent number: 8324846
Abstract: A retarding system for an electric drive machine (100) includes a direct current (DC) link (312), at which a DC voltage is developed, disposed between a rectifier (206) and an inverter (208). A first contactor switch (216) electrically communicates with a first rail of the DC link (312), and a second contactor switch (216) electrically communicates with a second rail of the DC link (312). A first resistor grid (214) is connected in series between the first contactor switch (216) and the second contactor switch (216). The first resistor grid (214) dissipates electrical energy in the form of heat by conducting a current between the first rail and the second rail of the DC link (312) when the first contactor switch (216) and the second contactor switch (216) are closed.
