    Abstract: An absorbent garment having an outer shell and a discreet absorbent assembly adapted for positioning therein is disclosed. In particular embodiments, the absorbent garment comprises a garment shell and an inner absorbent assembly. The garment shell defines a waist opening and at least one leg opening, defines a body-side surface and an outward surface, and includes an elasticized shell waistband adapted to encircle the wearer. The inner absorbent assembly comprises an absorbent composite connected directly or indirectly to the garment shell. The inner absorbent assembly can include one or more posterior support straps which connect the absorbent composite to the garment shell. In certain embodiments, the absorbent assembly includes two posterior support straps which diverge from each other from the absorbent composite to the at garment shell. The absorbent assembly can also include an elasticized support waistband, and the absorbent composite can be connected to the elasticized support waistband.
