Patent number: 9432259Abstract: Mesh network resiliency technology, in which a first routing configuration for nodes of a mesh network is determined, the first routing configuration being appropriate when a first power source of the mesh network is available. Routing data that indicates routing responsibilities within the first routing configuration is provided to first nodes of the mesh network. An interruption of the first power source for the mesh network is detected by nodes of the mesh network. In response to detecting the interruption, a second routing configuration for nodes of the mesh network is determined, the second routing configuration being appropriate when the first power source of the mesh network is unavailable. Routing data that indicates routing responsibilities within the second configuration is provided to second nodes of the mesh network, each of the second nodes including a second power source that is different than the first power source.Type: GrantFiled: March 17, 2014Date of Patent: August 30, 2016Assignee: Alarm.com IncorporatedInventors: David James Hutz, Matthew Flannery Knight

Patent number: 9293835Abstract: A communication system including a plurality of horn antennas, a waveguide feed network, and a converter unit coupled to the plurality of horn antennas is disclosed. The waveguide feed network is coupled to each horn antenna, splits an information signal into a first component signal having a first polarization and a second component signal having a second polarization and provides a first summed component signal at a first feed port and a second summed component signal at a second feed port. The converter unit receives the first summed component signal and the second summed component signal and compensates for polarization skew between the antenna array and a source.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2014Date of Patent: March 22, 2016Assignee: ASTRONICS AEROSAT CORPORATIONInventors: Richard E. Clymer, Michael J. Barrett, Frank James Blanda, Robert Krivicich, Richard B. Anderson, Matthew A. Flannery

Patent number: 8760354Abstract: A communication system including an antenna array with feed network coupled to communication electronics. In one example, a communication subsystem comprises a plurality of antennas each adapted to receive an information signal and a plurality of orthomode transducers coupled to corresponding ones of the plurality of antennas, each OMT is adapted to provide at a first component signal having a first polarization and a second component signal having a second polarization. The communication subsystem also comprises a feed network that receives the first component signal and the second component signal from each orthomode transducer and provides a first summed component signal at a first feed port and a second summed component signal at a second feed port, and a phase correction device coupled to the first and second feed ports and adapted to phase match the first summed component signal with the second summed component signal.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 2010Date of Patent: June 24, 2014Assignee: Astronics Aerosat CorporationInventors: Richard Clymer, Michael Barrett, Frank Blanda, Robert Krivicich, Richard B. Patent number: 7892485Abstract: A device for cleaning and deodorizing a sponge and a method of using the device. The device includes a carrier assembly that travels along a guide-track system and is lowered into a base unit large enough to hold a bath of cleaning solution that would engulf the sponge. The carrier assembly is used to compress, decompress, and recompress the sponge, which in turn absorbs a cleaning solution and expels the cleaning solution along with foreign matter.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 2007Date of Patent: February 22, 2011Assignee: T&M Innovations Inc.Inventors: Matthew Flannery, Tod Maitland, Peter Schon
