    Abstract: The combination, a wire shelf, a shelf liner therefor, and a two element shelf liner retaining mechanism is disclosed. The wire shelf is the type including transverse deck rods supported by longitudinal rods. The shelf liner is in the form of a sheet of a plastic sized to rest on the transverse rods and to extend along the longitudinal rods. The two element liner retaining element includes a spring clip to hold the liner, and an integral rod engaging element to prevent the shelf liner from sliding.
