  • Publication number: 20240356504
Abstract: This application relates to transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs), in particular to TIAs with wideband feedback. The TIA has an input stage, for receiving an input current and outputting a corresponding output voltage, with a first transistor configured as an input transistor in a first circuit branch. A reference controller is configured to provide a reference voltage with a value equal to a DC value of the output voltage and a voltage regulator is configured to receive a supply voltage and generate a regulated voltage with a voltage offset to the reference voltage, such that the voltage offset does not substantially vary with variation in at least one of the supply voltage, temperature and process variations. The regulated voltage is supplied as a supply voltage to the input stage. The TIA also includes control circuitry for controlling an effective transconductance of the first transistor to a defined value.

  • Publication number: 20240301560
Abstract: A method of coating an automotive part for an electric drive unit is provided. The method comprises providing a part comprising a body having an outer surface and introducing the part in an aqueous coating solution comprising sodium metabisulfite and citric acid to form residual oxides on the outer surface defining a sample-water interface. The method further comprises emitting ultrasonic waves in the coating solution to generate acoustic cavitation activity at the sample-water interface and continuously form oxygen and hydrogen species. The citric acid arranged to activate the outer surface to allow for the reaction with the oxygen and hydrogen species forming iron hydroxide. The sodium metabisulfite arranged to react with the iron hydroxide generating iron oxysulfide such that the iron oxysulfide reacts with the oxygen and hydrogen species to produce iron oxide and iron sulfide on the outer surface defining a black oxide coating.

  • Patent number: 12075108
Abstract: In one aspect, a method includes a content-presentation device determining first and second intervals during which presentation of received content is modifiable, and transmitting first and second requests for first and second supplemental content. A link to content in a playlist may be received, the playlist including first supplemental content followed immediately by second supplemental content. The link may be used to retrieve the first supplemental content, which may be presented in a first modification operation during the first interval. Before completing the first modification operation, the content-presentation device may use the link to start retrieving the second supplemental content for a second modification operation scheduled immediately following the first modification operation, and may determine that while less than a threshold portion of the first modification operation remains incomplete, retrieval of the second supplemental content is also incomplete.

  • Patent number: 12028561
Abstract: A method and system for aligning the duration of supplemental content with the duration of modifiable content in content modification operations. An example method includes determining a duration of a modifiable content segment in a media sequence being received by a content-presentation device. The example method then includes identifying a supplemental content segment to replace the modifiable content segment and selecting from a predefined set of multiple different-duration versions of the identified supplemental content segment, a particular instance of the identified supplemental content segment based on the particular instance of the identified supplemental content segment having a duration closest to the determined duration of the modifiable content segment.

  • Publication number: 20240107084
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for managing content replacement in a content modification system, which can be applicable to dynamic advertisement insertion. A media device can provide a first segment of a linear sequence of content segments to a display device. The first segment can include an ending frame adjacent to a start frame of a second segment of the linear sequence of content segments, where the second segment is to be replaced by a replacement segment. Based on a determination that the replacement segment is unavailable, the media device can provide one or more additional copies of the ending frame of the first segment to the display device while the replacement segment to replace the second segment is unavailable.
