  • Publication number: 20240103645
Abstract: A computer input system includes a mouse including a housing having an interior surface defining an internal volume and a sensor assembly disposed in the internal volume. A processor is electrically coupled to the sensor assembly and a memory component having electronic instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to determine an orientation of the mouse relative to a hand based on a touch input from the hand detected by the sensor assembly. The mouse can also have a circular array of touch sensors or lights that detect hand position and provide orientation information to the user.

  • Publication number: 20240103656
Abstract: An input device, such as a mouse, can include a housing defining an exterior grip portion and an internal volume, a sensor assembly disposed in the internal volume, and an emitter electrically coupled to the sensor assembly. In response to the sensor assembly detecting a first touch input on the housing, the emitter sends a first signal including information regarding an angular position of the grip portion. In response to the sensor assembly detecting a second touch input on the housing, the emitter sends a second signal including information regarding a direction of a force exerted on the housing from the second touch input.

  • Patent number: 11142877
Abstract: A steering mechanism and guidance system for a milling attachment device provides steering capability without impeding cutting depth control. The steering mechanism has at least one wheel that is rotated by an actuating mechanism such as an extending cylinder, synchronized actuators, or the like. The steering mechanism may be integrated with depth control by using a parallelogrammic structure with pivot points to assist in the depth control or may operate independent of and without impeding depth control.

  • Patent number: 10995555
Abstract: Downhole vibratory tools that use fluid flow to reciprocate a rotor in a vibration chamber and associated methods and processes. In a first illustrative embodiment, an elongated external housing allows connection to a drillstring, behind a downhole drill. From a top sub, fluid flows through a first flow plate and spiral flow chamber to enter a central vibration chamber in a spiral direction and exits the vibration chamber through a counterpart second flow plate and spiral flow chamber. A rotor is disposed in the vibration chamber. The spiral flow through the vibration chamber causes the rotor to reciprocate around the vibration chamber, thereby creating vibrations that are transmitted to the drillstring. Methods of use include deploying the vibration tool to improve rates of penetration and enhances reach by creating resonance vibrations against the wall of a wellbore to effectively break static friction.

  • Publication number: 20170362783
Abstract: A milling attachment is attachable to a host vehicle so that the host vehicle provides propulsion of the milling attachment. The milling attachment has a milling drum, a discharge baffle, and a baffle actuator. The milling drum is adjustably positioned vertically to determine milling depth. The discharge baffle is positioned rearward of the milling drum and pivotally adjustable to maintain a desired space between the milling drum and the discharge baffle at any of the vertical positions of the milling drum. The baffle actuator causes the pivoting of the discharge baffle. The milling attachment may further comprise a hood with a bit access hatch that provides access to the milling drum. The milling attachment may also further comprise a connection securing assembly for securing the milling attachment to the host vehicle by securing a bucket of the host vehicle within a bucket slot in the milling attachment.
