    Abstract: A folding wing having a wing tip device (3) rotatable between flight and ground configurations, about an Euler axis of rotation (11). The wing tip device (3) and a fixed wing (1) are separated along an oblique cut plane (13) passing through the upper and lower surfaces of the folding wing. A rotational joint (15) for coupling the wing tip device (3) to the fixed wing (1) during rotation between the ground and flight configurations. The rotational joint includes a follower (17a) and a guide (17b), one which being fixed relative to the wing tip device and the other being fixed relative to the fixed wing. The follower and guide interlock such as by interlocking rings. The follower is received in the guide such that during rotation between the ground and flight configurations the follower moves along the arcuate path defined by the guide.

    Abstract: An aircraft wing having a wing tip device at the tip thereof is disclosed. The wing tip device is configurable between: a flight configuration for use during flight and a ground configuration for use during ground-based operations to reduce span. In the flight configuration, flight loads may be transferred via a load transfer arrangement from the wing tip device into the fixed wing, but during movement of the wing tip device towards the ground configuration, the load transfer arrangement is disengaged. The wing includes an actuation assembly having a sliding chassis coupled to the wing tip device, via a track and follower arrangement. The track includes a wide portion and a narrow portion.

The wing includes an actuator and an actuation assembly having an articulation mechanism having a master bell crank connected to the actuator and a slave link connecting the master bell crank with the wing tip device. The slave link is pivoted, at one end, to the master bell crank about a first pivot, and at the other end, to the wing tip device about a second pivot. The master bell crank being pivotably mounted, at its base, about a third pivot.

    Abstract: A method, system, device, and article of manufacture for use in a computer memory system utilizing multiple page types, for handling a memory resource request. In a accordance with the method of the invention, a request is received for allocation of pages having a first page type. The first page type has a specified allocation limit. A determination is made in response to the page allocation request of whether the number of allocated pages of the first page type exceeds or is below the allocation limit. In response to determining that the number of allocated pages of said first page type is below the allocation limit, the virtual memory manager enables allocation of pages for the request to exceed the allocation limit.
