  • Publication number: 20150374729
Abstract: The invention relates to methods and kits for use in reducing microbial counts on a patient's skin prior to surgery. Such a kit may be sealed, and include a dry substrate, a container of antiseptic composition, a tray with recessed portion(s), and a cover in sealing contact with a top rim of the tray to seal the contents in the tray. Such a kit may include two (e.g., identical) trays, which are initially attached to one another, each tray providing contents sufficient for one use (e.g., one use within 2 hours of the scheduled surgery, and a prior use done earlier (e.g., the night before). The related method may include providing the kit, removing the cover, dosing the substrate with the antiseptic composition in the tray's recessed region, and using the dosed substrate to apply the composition to skin proximate a location of the invasive procedure to be performed.

  • Publication number: 20050243638
Abstract: A memory device tester capable of testing for proper operation of reduced power states in memory devices. The memory device tester can include a processor or a state machine, each configured to send commands to the memory device, and to compare results. An example of a memory device that can be tested by the memory device tester is a Direct Rambus Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRDRAM). The described processing systems and other circuits can test a DRDRAM for proper operation in a standby (STBY) state. When the DRDRAM is in STBY, the column decoder is shut off to conserve power, and the DRDRAM should not respond to column packets on the column control bus. The method and apparatus provide for testing that the column decoder is shut off when in STBY with no banks active, which is the recommended usage pattern for the part.

  • Patent number: 6348258
Abstract: A breathable film having improved processing properties and reduced cost includes a breathable film-forming layer composition including a matrix polymer, a particulate organic filler, and a compatibilizer. The particulate organic filler is incompatible with the matrix polymer and tends to agglomerate when mixed with the matrix polymer alone. The compatibilizer achieves thermodynamic equilibrium between the matrix polymer and filler within a defined filler particle size range suitable for producing stretched breathable film. The film processes more easily than breathable films containing inorganic fillers, and is less expensive to manufacture.
