  • Publication number: 20140090113
Abstract: An Engineered Transgene Integration Platform (ETIP) is described that can be inserted randomly or at targeted locations in plant genomes to facilitate rapid selection and detection of a GOI that is perfectly targeted (both the 5? and 3? ends) at the ETIP genomic location. One element in the subject disclosure is the introduction of specific double stranded breaks within the ETIP. In some embodiments, an ETIP is described using zinc finger nuclease binding sites, but may utilize other targeting technologies such as meganucleases, CRISPRs, TALs, or leucine zippers. Also described are compositions of, and methods for producing, transgenic plants wherein the donor or payload DNA expresses one or more products of an exogenous nucleic acid sequence (e.g. protein or RNA) that has been stably-integrated into an ETIP in a plant cell. In embodiments, the ETIP facilitates testing of gene candidates and plant expression vectors from ideation through Development phases.

  • Publication number: 20100023576
Abstract: Resources for IP networking are managed. A field is added to an operating system kernel software procedure. The field references a virtual router context. Packet processing software code is modified to cause the packet processing software code to execute in accordance with the virtual router context.

  • Publication number: 20060151904
Abstract: A molding apparatus for making a cutting tool includes a cylindrically shaped elastic bag having an internal cavity for receiving a granulated material, such as a mixture of cobalt and carbide. The profile of the interior cavity substantially corresponds to the shape of the cutting tool being produced. The ends of the bag are open to provide access to the interior cavity of the bag. A substantially rigid tubular-shaped pressure sleeve encloses an outer circumference of the elastic bag. A pair of end caps operate to seal the open ends of the elastic bag and are engageable with the ends of the pressure sleeve. The granulated material can be formed into a solid coherent structure by placing the assembled mold containing the granulated material into a hydrostatic press for applying a substantially uniform compressive load to the outer periphery of the elastic bag.

  • Patent number: 6985464
Abstract: Data interconnections are managed in a mobile communications network having multiple packet control function entities (PCFs) and multiple packet data serving nodes (PDSNs), wherein each PCF and PDSN communicates signaling messages according to a mobile signaling protocol. Information for a Mobile Subscriber (MS) is received. The MS is associated with a same one of the PDSNs when the MS moves from a first area covered by a first PCF to a second area covered by a second PCF. It is determined that a first PCF has issued a first connection request on behalf of an MS. As a result of the first connection request, a selection protocol is executed a first time to select a PDSN that corresponds to the MS. It is determined that a second PCF has issued a second connection request on behalf of the MS. The selection protocol is executed a second time to select the same PDSN that was selected as a result of the first connection request.

  • Patent number: 6917592
Abstract: A primary LNS, a peer LNS and a LAC are coupled to each other via a network A CPE is coupled to the LAC. A first tunnel is established between the CPE and the LAC using the network and information is transmitted through the first tunnel. A determination is made as to whether the primary LNS is overloaded or inoperative. State information is offloaded from the primary LNS to the peer LNS. If the primary LNS is inoperative or overloaded, a second tunnel is established from the CPE to the peer LNS using the state information. Information is transmitted though the second tunnel.
