Abstract: A system for treating and/or diagnosing tissue from a tissue surface comprises: a console; an interface assembly; and a mobile device. The mobile device is configured to navigate a tissue surface and can comprise: a first tissue attachment assembly; a second tissue attachment assembly; and at least one articulation assembly. The interface assembly operably connects the console to the mobile device. The console is configured to manipulate the at least one articulation assembly via the interface assembly. The at least one articulation assembly is configured to navigate from a first tissue location to a second tissue location. The mobile device is configured to diagnose and/or treat tissue at the second tissue location. Methods of treating and/or diagnosing tissue are also described.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an optical device having a spatially-varying volume holographic grating (VHG), and methods, systems and apparatus for making the same. An optical device according to the disclosure has one or both of a spacing and a slant angle of the VHG which varies across locations of the optical device. A method for making an such an optical device includes: irradiating a photosensitive material with a first beam of light; producing a volume holographic grating in the photosensitive material by producing an interference pattern between the first beam with a second beam of light; moving the first beam and the second beam or the photosensitive material relative to the other to scan the first beam and the second beam across locations on the photosensitive material; and varying one or both of a spacing and a slant angle of the volume holographic grating across locations on the photosensitive material.

Abstract: A vehicle instrument panel attachment joint assembly includes a first bracket associated with a strut holding a portion of the instrument panel and a second bracket associated with a portion of the vehicle. The assembly is configured whereby the second bracket underlies the first bracket on attachment. One or fasteners pass first through one or more second bracket through-bores and next through one or more first bracket through-bores to attach the first and second brackets one to the other. The first bracket includes one or more associated cooperating fastener receivers aligned with the one or more first bracket through-bores.

Abstract: Automatic transmission of information is generated when the content of a posted electronic form matches a predefined criteria. An interface allows the user to create a criterion template to specify the match criterion without requiring the user to have the skills of a professional programmer. The person to be notified and the form and content of the notification can also be defined by the user and can be dependent on the content of the posted form. In one application, individuals associated with an institution of higher learning are automatically notified when a student submits an electronic profile form showing that the student meets a pre-specified criteria.
