  • Patent number: 11936499
Abstract: Apparatus and methods of managing a virtual area based on communicant capabilities are described. The communicant capabilities are updated based on rules in response to events in the virtual area. An action by one communicant can affect the capabilities of another communicant. Communicant capabilities can be stored in respective server-side proxies and the virtual area can be managed without transmitting any of the capabilities to the communicants' client network nodes. Capability-based permissions checks can be performed against communicant capabilities with wildcarded attribute fields.

  • Patent number: 11917030
Abstract: A push notification distribution system centralizes the management and delivery of push notifications to applications executing on electronic devices. Registration requests to register applications for push notifications may be aggregated and sent as an aggregated registration request. The delivery priority of push notifications may be managed according to specified preferences. Upon receiving a push notification intended for an electronic device, a delivery priority of the push notification may be changed if an application identifier associated with the push notification is found on a list of application identifiers with designed delivery priorities.

  • Patent number: 10722393
Abstract: Hand orthotics are provided for protecting and/or supporting phalanges, metacarpals and/or ligaments of the hand providing thin, lightweight, moldable devices that form to the digits of and to the hand to provide shock absorption and limited range of motion in flexion and extension movements of the digits of the hand, but mitigate or prevent hyperextension. Each orthotic has several plates of thermal plastic, pre-molded carbon fiber or the like that are generally, if not entirely, inflexible and interlinked through limited range of motion hinges, overlapping, and/or abutting plates that accommodate stability and protection. The plates are contained within, on top, underneath, or permutations of these, a form fitting material (e.g. neoprene or vinyl) to maintain a tight fit to the hand, digits and wrist. A thumb plate is hinged to an upper or lower hand plate of the device and includes a loop for receiving the thumb.

  • Patent number: 8434763
Abstract: A lawn game uses a pair of markers toward which each player rolls a disk while standing proximate the other maker and/or tosses rings. Once all disks have been rolled or all of the rings have been tossed, or both, the disk or ring closest to the marker determines which player scores points for that round. Disk scoring is based on the number on the disk facing upwardly or both numbers if the disk remains on its side for each disk within a certain distance from the marker using a multiplier if the disk contacts the marker. Ring scoring is based on the proximity to the approached marker with a ring encircling the top of the marker being the best. A rope is removably attachable to the markers and helps with measurements.

Abstract: A lawn game uses a pair of markers toward which each player rolls a disk while standing proximate the other maker. Once all disks have been rolled, the disk closest to the marker determines which player scores points for that round. For the player scoring points, all of that player's disks that are within a certain distance from the rolled to marker score, with each disk laying flat, the number showing on the side of the disk equals the points gained for that disk, the sum of the numbers on each side of a disk remaining on its outer edge equals the points gained for that disk, and the number showing on the side of the disk laying against the rolled to marker multiplied by a multiplier equals the points gained for that disk. A rope removably attachable to the markers helps with measurements.
