Publication number: 20170246120Abstract: The present invention provides herbal compositions comprising cannabidiol (CBD) for enhancing the sexual experience. In accordance with the invention, a physiologically acceptable composition including an emulsion of cannabidiol and a carrier substance is delivered to the skin, one or membranes or other surfaces of the human body where absorption of the herbal composition can occur. In some embodiments of the invention the delivery mechanism includes an apparatus, including but not limited to dissolving strips, vaporizers, pump sprays, single-use foil tubes, and condoms. The delivery occurs prior to or during sexual activity. Some embodiments of the invention provide carrier substances that will improve the effectiveness of the CBD in enhancing the sexual experience, and that may improve the experience in other ways, such as by adding flavors or fragrances.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 19, 2015Publication date: August 31, 2017Inventor: Matthew J. Patent number: 9492351Abstract: A liquid transfer connector comprises an enclosure holding a transfer needle and an exhaust needle. A container of donor liquid may be attached to an inlet end of the transfer needle and a container holding a recipient liquid may be attached to an outlet end of the transfer needle and an inlet end of an exhaust needle. The exhaust needle has an outlet end within the connector which releases displaced fluid into an absorbent mass which sequesters the fluid to prevent leakage.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2011Date of Patent: November 15, 2016Assignee: ONPHARMA, INC.Inventors: Matthew J. Stepovich, Randy Kesten, Jeff Zalewski

Patent number: 9265697Abstract: A system for transferring solutions from a first cartridge into a second cartridge comprises a cartridge holder, a plunger driver, and a cartridge connector. The cartridge connector carries a transfer needle and an exhaust needle. The cartridge holder positions the first cartridge against the cartridge connector so that the transfer needle penetrates the first cartridge septum. The second cartridge is removably inserted into another end of the cartridge connector so that both the transfer needle and the exhaust needle penetrate the second cartridge septum. The plunger driver is disposed to advance a plunger on the first cartridge to transfer solution from the first cartridge into the second cartridge thus displacing solution from the second cartridge through the exhaust needle. The cartridge connector includes a sealed interior waste chamber for receiving the solution from the second cartridge.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2014Date of Patent: February 23, 2016Assignee: ONPHARMA, INC.Inventors: Matthew J. Stepovich, Michael I. Falkel

Publication number: 20140224376Abstract: An anesthetic cartridge is adapted to receive a volume of buffer by displacing a plunger in one end of the anesthetic cartridge inwardly so that addition of the buffer volume will not displace the plunger excessively beyond the end of the cartridge body. The inwardly displaced end is protected by a plug or cover which prevents contamination and which is ejected when the buffer is added. The amount of buffer volume injected is selected to raise the pH of the anesthetic to a target value and to simultaneously achieve a target tonicity.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 14, 2013Publication date: August 14, 2014Applicant: Onpharma, Inc.Inventors: Matthew J. Stepovich, Michael I. Falkel, Mark Foley

Publication number: 20120180432Abstract: A device for delivering buffer solution into a buffer cartridge comprises a needle assembly and a pusher. The septa of a buffer cartridge and an anesthetic cartridge are advanced onto a transfer needle, and the pusher advances a plunger into the buffer cartridge to deliver buffer through the transfer needle into the anesthetic cartridge. A separate exhaust needle allows excess anesthetic from the anesthetic cartridge to be exhausted. A compression member is usually provided to maintain a force against the plunger on the buffer cartridge to pressurize and stabilize the contents during sterilization and/or storage.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 23, 2012Publication date: July 19, 2012Applicant: Onpharma, Inc.Inventors: Matthew J. A separate exhaust needle allows excess anesthetic from the anesthetic cartridge to be exhausted. A compression member is usually provided to maintain a force against the plunger on the buffer cartridge to pressurize and stabilize the contents during sterilization and/or storage. By delivering a buffer with a precisely controlled pH, accurate buffering of the anesthetic can be achieved.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 11, 2010Publication date: November 17, 2011Applicant: Onpharma Inc.Inventors: Matthew J. Publication number: 20110247722Abstract: An anesthetic cartridge is adapted to receive a volume of buffer by displacing a plunger in one end of the anesthetic cartridge inwardly so that addition of the buffer volume will not displace the plunger excessively beyond the end of the cartridge body. By properly determining the amount of buffer volume required to raise the pH of the anesthetic to a target value, the degree of inward displacement of the plunger can be determined and the cartridge can be used with a system for delivering a precise amount of buffer solution having a known pH into the cartridge to raise its pH, just before the anesthetic is delivered to the patient.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 7, 2011Publication date: October 13, 2011Applicant: Onpharma, Inc.Inventors: Matthew J.
