  • Publication number: 20090162809
Abstract: A dental impression alignment guide comprising a frame which holds a conventional dental impression compound tray on one end and a laser source on the other end. The laser beam is split into two orthogonal fan shaped beams that project vertical and horizontal lines on the face of a patient. The lines are fixedly coupled to the impression compound tray, thus indicate the tray's position in the patient's mouth. The use of the alignment measuring tool facilitates the alignment of subsequent dentures in the articulated artificial jaw dentists use to verify fit and occlusion before moving dentures, appliances, or surgical procedures to the patient.

  • Publication number: 20040255888
Abstract: A spark discharging device that sparks on the closing of contacts carrying high current. In one embodiment, a capacitor is discharged to provide a short pulse of high current upon making contact between one movable electrode to the capacitor and a ground electrode. A solenoid coil energized from the engine's electrical system is operated in synchronism with the movement of the engine's piston. A solenoid drives a plunger and movable electrode tipped with a contact portion so the contact portion moves into engagement with a ground electrode connected to the return circuit. The movable electrode is coupled to the charged capacitor located within or external to the spark discharger housing. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims (37 C.F.R. 1.72(b)).

  • Patent number: 5363822
Abstract: A multi-part piston assembly for an internal-combustion engine having at least one cylinder. The assembly has a skirt with a threaded member connected thereto, the skirt being adapted to fit into the cylinder for reciprocal movement, and has a removable piston head that has an threaded bore therein adapt:ed to receive the skirt's threaded member removably attach the piston head to the skin. The removable piston head has rings mounted thereon and is adapted to fit into the cylinder for reciprocation with the skirt. A lock screw that locks the piston head to the skirt when the piston head and skirt are attached for use.
