  • Patent number: 10894659
Abstract: A lid to a consumable container may have a cutout pattern that may open when impinged by a water or other liquid stream. The liquid stream may cause the cutout pattern to flex and in some cases rotate, thereby exposing gaps between elements through which liquid may disperse into the container. The container may be made from a pulp material, such as thermoformed bagasse pulp, and the cutout pattern may be made with a laser or stamp. The pattern may have various flexible elements, which may be defined by through or partially cut areas which may separate, as well as hinge areas which may be uncut or partially cut. The cutout pattern may have closed position prior to use, where ingredients in the container may be trapped, and may have an open position created when liquid impinges on the pattern, thereby opening the pattern and allowing liquid to be dispersed in a shower effect.

  • Patent number: 10153968
Abstract: Carrier-driven bearer path selection is disclosed. Carrier-driven bearer path selection enables a carrier to assert bearer path selection policies. Bearer paths available to UEs can be checked for compliance with a carrier's policies. Preferred bearer paths can be designated to the UE for selection. Designation of preferred bearer paths can, in an aspect, be related to route cost, path requests, or path characteristics. In addition, complex bearer path schema can be determined. In an aspect, complex bearer path schema can include asymmetric routing, bonding, and multiplexing. The subject disclosure can enable a carrier to improve management of the carrier's network resources by driving bearer path selection determination to UEs.

  • Patent number: 8732727
Abstract: The disclosed subject matter facilitates an execution environment in which services can be made available for use by one or more devices independently of such devices' hardware, operating systems, or run-time environments. The services can be abstracted and accessed by way of a Service Programming Interface (SPI). Execution environment devices can be members of one or more execution clusters and can interoperate by way of a logical bus, for example by contemporaneously signaling among member devices on an electronic signaling logical bus (ESLB). Signaling can be by way of event messages, which can facilitate distributed computing and/or agnostic execution behavior.

  • Patent number: 7236849
Abstract: Apparatus and method is disclosed for providing a safety system for power equipment comprising a machine having a lower tool, an upper tool, and a safety controller. The lower tool is electrically isolated from the reversible upper tool. A safety controller is coupled to the lower tool. A pair of electrically conductive gloves that are coupled to the safety controller are worn by an operator of the power equipment. Electrically conductive stock is held with the pair of electrically conductive gloves, the safety controller allowing the machine to operate when the electrically conductive stock contacts the lower tool.

  • Patent number: 6817077
Abstract: An apparatus and method for sorting and selecting parts comprising a computer for designing a plurality of a first type of component parts and a plurality of a second type of component parts. Each job, which consists of the plurality of first component parts and the plurality of second component parts, is assigned a unique identification by the computer. In addition, the computer also assigns a part identification for each of the component parts. A first tooling machine computer-controller, coupled to the computer, receives the plurality of first component part designs, creates tooling instructions for the first component parts, and creates labels for each of the first component parts. The labels include the unique job identification and the part identification. A first tooling machine, coupled to the first tooling machine computer-controller, receives the first component part tooling instructions, receives material for the first component parts, and creates the first component parts.
