  • Publication number: 20220202280
Abstract: A linkage assembly for a medical device may comprise: a rotatable member configured to rotate about a rotation axis; a piston; and a connecting rod rotatably connected to the rotatable member and the piston and movable along a range. A first end of the range may correspond to an initial position of a distal member movable by the linkage assembly, and a second end of the range may correspond to a final position of a distal member. In a first configuration of the connecting rod, at the first end of the range, a proximal end of the connecting rod may be offset from a longitudinal axis by a first amount, wherein the longitudinal axis is perpendicular to the rotation axis; In a second configuration of the connecting rod, at the second end of the range, the proximal end of the connecting rod may be offset from the longitudinal axis by a second amount. The second amount may be less than two-thirds of the first amount.

  • Publication number: 20200214712
Abstract: A device for treating a tissue opening includes a proximal portion including an elongated flexible member, a capsule releasably coupled to a distal end of the flexible member and including a lumen extending therethrough and a clip including a pair of arms movably housed within the capsule. A suture extending along a first one of the pair of arms and including a loop at a distal end thereof extending across an opening extending through the first one of the pair of arms. A suture grabbing element extending laterally from a second one of the pair of arms and including a hook so that, when the pair of arms are moved toward a closed configuration, the hook extends through the opening to grab the loop and draw the distal end of the suture from the first one of the pair of arms toward the second one of the pair of arms.

  • Publication number: 20160338681
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the field of endoscopy. In particular, the present disclosure relates to systems and methods for dissecting large areas of submucosal tissue. The system may apply tension to and continuously manipulate mucosal tissue such that large lesions may be dissected by a cutting element disposed at the distal end of an endoscope.
