    Abstract: The instant invention provides an inexpensive method of repairing the hollow drive shaft hub of a torque converter impeller housing. The impeller hub is turned to a smaller outer diameter and a sleeve having a wear resistant surface is fitted to the turned outer hub diameter. The sleeve may be further secured by mechanical interference, bonding, or welding.
