Patent number: 11367150Abstract: An online system stores user profiles of users performing past user interactions with content items. The system receives a new content item and extracts a new feature vector from an image in the new content item using image analysis. The system generates, by a machine learning model, a demographic criteria vector based on the new feature vector. The machine learning model is configured based on the user profiles of the users performing the past user interactions with the plurality of content items to receive a feature vector for a content item and generate a demographic criteria vector based on the feature vector. The demographic criteria vector indicates a likelihood of a user with a user profile matching the demographic criteria vector interacting with the content item exceeding a threshold. The system sends the demographic criteria vector to a content provider for targeting the new content item.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 2017Date of Patent: June 21, 2022Assignee: Meta Platforms, Inc.Inventors: Andrew Lackman, Matthew Jesse Hartgraves

Patent number: 10614484Abstract: An online system receives related content items from a content provider for delivery over a period of time. The system determines a rate of delivery of each related content item to users of the online system. The system delivers the related content items based on the determined rates of delivery. The system monitors a rate of client interactions with the related content items. The system adjusts the rate of delivery of each related content item based on the rate of client interactions associated with the related content item, such that higher performing related content is delivered more than lower performing related content. If the rate of delivery of the related content item decreases below a threshold, the system sets the adjusted rate of delivery of the related content item to the threshold. The system delivers the related content items to client devices based on the adjusted rates of delivery.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 2017Date of Patent: April 7, 2020Assignee: Facebook, Inc.Inventors: Andrew Lackman, Matthew Jesse Hartgraves

Patent number: 7575017Abstract: Wet barrel fire hydrants which feature additional structure for reducing the potential that those with ill intent can foul municipal water supplies by introducing toxins or other materials into fire hydrants. Various embodiments include valves which close off portions of the hydrant or water conduit otherwise available for receipt of toxic or other materials when the fire hydrant nozzle cap is unscrewed and open and/or a pump is connected to the nozzle. Such valves preferably open automatically when water is flowing from the water supply through the nozzle, but close off portions of the barrel when the nozzle is open and water is not flowing through the nozzle.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 2006Date of Patent: August 18, 2009Assignee: Davidson Hydrant Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Thomas Dewey Davidson, Sr., David Michael Walden, Anthony Ferrari, David Phillips, O. G. Sims, Matthew Jesse Rose

Publication number: 20070272300Abstract: Various aspects and embodiments of the present invention provide a fire hydrant actuator rod that is a corrosive resistant rod made by a cold-rolled finish process and plated with a metal compound. An actuator rod of the present invention may be installed in a fire hydrant between the cap structure and valve and cooperate with an O-ring and/or hydrant component to provide a seal without a sleeve or inner O-ring. In some embodiments of the present invention, an actuator rod is provided that cooperates with an O-ring to form a seal at the fire hydrant cap structure.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 26, 2006Publication date: November 29, 2007Inventors: Thomas Dewey Davidson, Matthew Jesse Rose

Publication number: 20060149514Abstract: A method for determining a fresh fuel bundle design for a core of a nuclear reactor may include defining a plurality of inputs including user-defined target conditions for evaluating one or more reference fresh fuel bundle designs for each of N bundle groups, and generating a response surface based on making single rod-type changes in each (i,j) rod location of each bundle of a given reference bundle design being evaluated for each of the N bundle groups. A search algorithm may be iterated to evaluate a given combination of multiple rod-type changes made simultaneously across each of the N bundle groups using the generated response surface to determine an accepted fuel bundle design for each of the N bundle groups that satisfies the user-defined target conditions.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 30, 2004Publication date: July 6, 2006Inventors: David Kropaczek, Mehdi Asgari, Matthew Jesse
