  • Publication number: 20240144082
Abstract: A method of validating an inferential model for operation on an inference data set is provided. The method includes extracting a first distribution of values of a first parameter from the inference data set, extracting a second distribution of values of the first parameter from a validating data set used to validate the inferential model, determining a first parameter distance between the extracted first distribution and the extracted second distribution, and validating the inferential model for operation on the inference data set based on satisfaction of a validation condition, the satisfaction of the validation condition being based on the determined first parameter distance.

  • Patent number: 10863229
Abstract: A system and method for identifying a model of a television set is presented. The system may include a user interaction device including a first communication port configured to transmit operational codes to the television set via a control link, and a second communication port configured to detect audio signals from the television set via a feedback link. The user interaction device may be configured to transmit volume-down codes for television models to the television set to program a volume level of the television set to 0. The user interaction device may be configured to transmit a volume-up code for a first television model. The user interaction device may be configured to identify a model of the television set as the first television model if the user interaction device detects an audio signal on the feedback link following the transmission of the volume-up code for the first television model.

  • Publication number: 20050157605
Abstract: A disc processor, such as a printer or a recorder, or a combination processor, has a robotic arm that will pick a compact disc to be processed from a storage stack and move it to a tray associated with the processor. The robotic arm includes a sensor to sense when a disc is in a position to be held in a picker on the arm. The sensor signal can be used for determining whether or not the stack of discs in the input bin is of the correct height; for determining whether or not more than one disc has been picked up by the handler; and also for determining the presence of a disc in the tray or held on the picker arm.
