    Abstract: The present invention relates to systems and methods for providing advertisements on websites. In an embodiment, a method for providing an advertisement on a website includes obtaining user-sourced information regarding a future event, analyzing the content of the user-sourced information to identify a characteristic of at least one of a product or service relevant to the future event, comparing the characteristic to a descriptor associated with a list-based advertisement, and selecting the list-based advertisement for display on a website visited by the user when the characteristic matches the descriptor associated with the advertisement.
