Publication number: 20240125152Abstract: An anti-theft device for securing an article of merchandise against unauthorized removal from a display counter. The anti-theft device comprises a latch plate and a pedestal having a quick-release interface. The latch plate is configured to selectively couple to the quick-release interface. A latch bolt is disposed within the pedestal. The latch bolt locks the latch plate relative to the quick-release interface. A plurality of retaining arms is configured to receive and retain an article of merchandise. The retaining arms cannot be disengaged from the article of merchandise while the latch plate is locked relative to the quick-release interface. A solenoid is housed within the pedestal and operationally connected to the latch bolt. The solenoid is configured to retract the latch bolt into a position in which the latch bolt disengages the latch plate, thereby releasing the latch plate from the quick-release interface.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 12, 2023Publication date: April 18, 2024Applicant: Vanguard Products Group, Inc.Inventors: Christopher A. Patent number: 11952803Abstract: An anti-theft device for securing an article of merchandise against unauthorized removal from a display counter. The anti-theft device includes a plurality of arms slidingly disposed within the housing. Grips are disposed on proximal ends of the arms and are configured to receive and secure edges of an article of merchandise. A locking mechanism is disposed within the housing of the anti-theft device. The locking mechanism involves an actuator that presses a locking component to engage at least one of the arms. The arms have a first set of teeth disposed thereon, such that, when the locking component engages at least one of the arms, the first set of teeth interlocks with a second set of teeth. The arms cannot slide relative to the housing while the first set of teeth and the second set of teeth remain interlocked.Type: GrantFiled: May 26, 2021Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: Vanguard Products Group, Inc.Inventors: Christopher A. Patent number: 11319731Abstract: An anti-theft device for securing an article of merchandise against unauthorized removal from a display counter. A bracket securely holds the article of merchandise. A latch plate is attached to an underside of the bracket. The latch plate has a rail having a lip. A quick-release interface is anchored to a display counter. The quick-release interface has a flanged channel configured to receive the rail of the latch plate. A latch is disposed within the quick-release interface. The latch immobilizes the rail within the channel, thus securing the latch plate to the quick-release interface. The quick-release interface has an access port providing access to the latch using a specialized tool. The tool can be used to disengage the latch from the rail, thereby releasing the latch plate from the quick-release interface.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 2021Date of Patent: May 3, 2022Assignee: Vanguard Products Group, Inc.Inventors: Christopher A. Patent number: 11035151Abstract: An anti-theft device for securing an article of merchandise against unauthorized removal from a display counter. The anti-theft device includes a plurality of arms slidingly disposed within the housing. Grips are disposed on proximal ends of the arms and are configured to receive and secure edges of an article of merchandise. A locking mechanism is disposed within the housing of the anti-theft device. Complimentary teeth are disposed on the locking component and the arms. An actuator transitions the locking components between a first unlocked configuration in which the teeth of the locking components are retracted away from the teeth of the arms, and a second locked configuration in which the teeth of the locking components engage the teeth of the arms.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 2020Date of Patent: June 15, 2021Assignee: Vanguard Products Group, Inc.Inventors: Christopher A. Patent number: 10323440Abstract: An anti-theft device for securing an article of merchandise against unauthorized removal from a display counter. A clip securely holds the article of merchandise. The clip has a hook on a bottom surface thereof. A base has an aperture configured to receive the hook. When the hook is inserted into the base through the opening, the clip is shifted relative to the base such that the point of the hook resides underneath a top plate of the base. A locking member immobilizes the clip within the base preventing the hook from becoming realigned with the base. A key is used to retract the locking member to release the clip from the base.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2018Date of Patent: June 18, 2019Assignee: Vanguard Products Group, Inc.Inventors: Christopher A. Patent number: 9213988Abstract: A networked commercial interaction management method assembles information into bundles that include a data element reference and meta data describing the data element. The method distributes the meta data and the data element reference from the bundles through the network, and distributes copies of the data elements in the bundles from the network node of their respective data owners to the network nodes of accessors using the meta data and the data element reference distributed through the network. In at least one embodiment, the method periodically issues bundle version identifying signals to different nodes of the network. The bundle version identifying signals indicate changes to the data elements to the network nodes of accessors.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2011Date of Patent: December 15, 2015Assignee: Thomson Reuters Global ResourcesInventors: Bob Lamoureux, Paul Jaminet, Edward Shea, Alexis Kopikis, John Boland Constantine, Jr., Matthew Kuntz, Todd Bremner

Patent number: 7330830Abstract: A computer-implemented networked commercial interaction management method distributes information bundles that include values for a plurality of content attribute descriptors and information fields characterizing commercial interactions. The content attribute descriptors include business language definition descriptors that specify the descriptive metadata of each of the information bundles, having at least one keyword having at least one value. The method monitors the distribution, response and manages the commercial interactions between networked users. Based on the keyword and the business language definition descriptors, the method derives traffic statistics based on the distribution and the response from the networked users via a statistics engine.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2000Date of Patent: February 12, 2008Assignee: Thomson Financial Inc.Inventors: Bob Lamoureux, Paul Jaminet, Edward Shea, Alexis Kopikis, John Boland Constantine, Jr., Matthew Kuntz, Todd Bremner, Zenobia Moochhala
