  • Publication number: 20240111854
Abstract: An administered authentication system can authenticate an artificial reality device using an authorization record between a user account and an artificial reality device. In some implementations, the authorization record is created in response to activation of a user account-specific key sent to a user-supplied contact, where an artificial reality device identifier was provided with the user-supplied contact. In other implementations, the authorization record is created in response to activation of a user account-specific key provided to the artificial reality device as a code, where activation of the key includes adding an artificial reality device identifier to a key activation message. In yet other implementations, the authorization record is created in response to an application associated with a user account activating an artificial reality device-specific key, with an artificial reality device identifier, that is provided via the artificial reality device.

  • Publication number: 20240108982
Abstract: Systems and methods for enabling automated, gradual visual rotation of a player's weapon and arms view model around an edge that the player intends to corner slice include imparting realistic motion and dynamism to the player's weapon and arms view model as the player engages in cover negotiation. The weapon and arms view model rolls and translates away from the edge in hip mode and rolls away from the edge in ADS (Aim Down Sight) mode so that the weapon and arms view model is canted away from the edge while being centered on the sight.

  • Patent number: 11938990
Abstract: This disclosure describes, in part, a mobile apparatus for identifying items. For instance, the mobile apparatus may include a frame, a basket that attaches to the frame, a tray that attaches to the frame, and a user-facing module that attaches to the frame. Weight sensors may be located beneath the basket and the tray in order to determine the weights of items added to the mobile apparatus. The user-facing module may include imaging devices, such as cameras, that the mobile apparatus uses to perform one or more functions. For example, the mobile apparatus may use the imaging devices to identify items placed within the basket, determine locations of the mobile apparatus within a facility, and/or the like. By including these components, the mobile apparatus is able to generate data that represents the items added to the mobile apparatus, the weights of the items, and the costs of the items.

  • Publication number: 20230232515
Abstract: A load control device coupled between an AC power source and an electrical load may operate in a three-wire mode or a two-wire mode based on whether the load control device is connected to a neutral side of the AC power source. The load control device may further comprise first and second zero-cross detect circuits to be respectively used in the two-wire mode or the three-wire mode, and a neutral wire detect circuit configured to generate a neutral-wire detect signal indicating whether the load control device is connected to the neutral side of the AC power source. A control circuit of the load control device may determine whether the load control device should operate in the two-wire mode or in the three-wire mode in response to the neutral-wire detect signal.

  • Patent number: 11585358
Abstract: Provided are attachment devices including a fastener (102) and a clip (104) coupled to the fastener, along with methods related thereof. The clip has first and second members (110, 112) with respective first and second engagement surfaces (116, 118) that oppose each other and define a gap (120) sized to receive a portion of the rail. The clip further includes a bridging member (114) that connects the first and second members to each other. The bridging member can have at least one opening (130) aligned with the gap and providing access for a prying tool to resiliently deflect the first and/or second engagement surface and facilitate detachment of the clip from the rail. Optionally, the bridging member includes a third engagement surface (122) with a configuration that enables a rigid coupling between the clip and the rail.

  • Patent number: 11157883
Abstract: A computer-based method for determining an effect of operational readiness for a vehicle in a fleet of vehicles based on a component replacement simulation is described. The method includes querying, using a fleet performance optimization tool, a maintenance data database. The method also includes analyzing the data set using a power law process to predict a next component removal for each vehicle based on hours of operation for each vehicle. The method also includes determining an effect of operational readiness for the selected vehicle based on the simulation. The method further includes ranking each vehicle in the fleet of vehicles based on the operational readiness of each vehicle. The method also includes displaying, based on the ranking, the operational readiness of each vehicle on the user interface to facilitate actual replacement of at least one component on at least one of the vehicles.

  • Patent number: 11082321
Abstract: The present document describes systems and methods that monitor the health of a number of network-connected databases. In various embodiments, a health management subsystem measures one or more health parameters of a database and determines whether the database is operating properly. When the database is operating properly, a heartbeat associated with the database is generated. Heartbeat information is exchanged with other health management subsystems using a gossip-style protocol. Using the received and generated heartbeats, a health state table is provided that includes a health state for each database.
